So got a letter I'm the post today,it's my inheritance from my dad's mum. £1,600! Considering we didn't know that we would be entitled to anything considering we have been estranged for over 20 years, it's a nice surprised.
Also got my sister some wooden shelves for £4, two at a metre by about 40cm and one at about 60 cm by 20cm. Bargain!
Going to the car boot tomorrow hopefully.4 -
Reading that last post, I'm not sure which part you're more excited about 🤣!
Feeling quite relieved my smart meter display isn't plugged in at the moment....!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

It was really good! It clashed with a local event (want to be vague in case someone recognises me) so quite a few of the normal vendors couldn't make it. Went around twice. I got a bracelet (Dr who) for a gift for my sister £6, bunting for the hen 50p and three rolls of the wrap you put on kitchen doors to recover them for £10. They are in my local shop for about £6 a roll and I've been contemplating getting some for the furniture with ruined finishes.

I could not get up in time for the sellers start. They open at like 6am! I struggle at 7, nap through to 8 and then panic because I'm late for work!
But I can't deny that I love the thrill of a bargain.3 -
Right so, I want to tell you of two things: one that I'm pleased that we have some progress and one that that I did the scary thing.
I have taken over the hen night completely it appears, I promise you that I'm usually pretty chill and take orders. But there were no orders. There was nothing. We are doing a competition where everyone has to decorate their shoes AND model them (they will be cheap plimsolls). Prizes will be given out but prizes will be bad. So for example a cassette or a loo roll dolly. The bride loves crafting and charity shops so all designed around her. I'm going to go crazy with bunting and lights. This is the most "bride" thing we are setting up, we also have games and cream tea, but the shoes are the best.
Had my appraisal and did ask about my salary. It was nerve-wracking before but I think it went well so fingers crossed something good will come out of it. Ridiculously proud of me

Were you too busy worrying about the hen night to really worry about the appraisal. I would have been!
