Thanks for the humouring guys! I know it's silly but I really hate bringing it up considering my history with my employer!
@badmemory I am nervous about the hen but it's not for a couple of months.. or six weeks... Or something. I may have mentioned, but am too lazy to check, but I wasn't meant to be the main one planning it! The girl who is meant to be has totally clocked out for some reason and doesn't appear to care. No idea what is going on but I'm not going to let that dampen the party, I'll hand it all back if she gets her head out of her...
Today has been a fibro day. I'm tired and foggy and spent all day in bed rather than doing the chores around the flat that I really need to. The bitter winds really get to me.
Friday I bought ten pairs of white shoes from one of the cheap shoes shops for the hen. Boy did I get some funny looks. They asked and I said it's for a hen activity and suddenly the ladies helping me got all excited. They even started telling other customers, it was so cute. I'm going to use my label maker to put everyone's names on the heels to a) make finding your pair easier and b) it looks adorable.
Yesterday I got my hand meds, apparently I have the thing I can't spell... Ecsma? Been given antibiotic cream and something else to get it under control. It's remarkable how quickly it's been helping. It's already bleeding a lot less.
Also got a couple of bits from the charity shop yesterday, a small sewing basket which I have been looking for for a while, I only have a couple of sewing bits but I lose them all of the time! It's so annoying when you have a hole and a needle but the thread has gone walkies. I also got some crafty bits for the shoe decorating.
Anyway, I managed to do 2 things off my to do list which is pretty good for a fibro day. Tomorrow will be better.3 -
That is such a cute little house! I don’t have fibro, but I feel you on the weather making things so much worse, having a duvet on sofa day myself today. 2 things off to do list done is something to

Thank you @astrocytic_kitten, when the saw it I grabbed it like the Holy grail.
Would love a duvet day!
Still very fibro-y but getting through it. Shouldn't complain though, for at least the reason that it gets very boring!
My hands look amazingly better, I can't believe how quick it's helped! But in my morning daze, I thought I packed all of the creams, but instead of one of them, I made sure I had the insanely important for the smooth running of the day.... Frog tape. :Flushed:3 -
I adore that house! Is it the sewing basket? - so cute!

It is! It houses (see what I did there?) my 3 needles, my two reels of thread and some practice material. I only have 2 reels because I lost one while it was loose!4

Rewatching how to save a grand and have to say that while I usually try not to judge other people's spending... Wow. Not having to pay rent for 12 years and not saving anything AND housing your four kids in one room. I know it's very easy to fall into a lifestyle and it's hard to pull out of it.
I can't talk, I went to Lidl to buy chocolate and ice cream. I did. I was too successful!
Went to a localish town today with the family, they have a charity shop that specialises in craft! I spoke with this lady who was wonderful. I explained about the decorating shoes for the hen and she came up with a lot of ideas for me. Got a large bag of ribbon and off cuts, sequins, roses and pom poms for £6.50!
I'm now knackered. Really struggling but trying to make myself do things to try to fight off the fatigue. I'm going to target the washing and living room. It's not going to be perfect but hopefully improve.4 -
I think the fibro is lifting a bit! If the weather doesn't change I should be back to normal soon!
Right, so. Money, I have finally moved my money around the houses, although it's not the best month in terms of spends (insurance, road tax and fibro eating are all expensive), it's looking alright. I received my inheritance so that very much helped. Last month I moved £1k into investments and then left myself short and then the inheritance came to the rescue! My flat equity (ignoring any price rises) is roughly half of my net worth. I want to get it down to about a third. While overpaying.
Went to the car boot twice in two days and acquired a lot. I'm very pleased because I did mostly acquire useful things that I think will be handy for me or the family. I did get some not useful things, I regret nothing. I got a small basket 50p, a medium basket 50p and a large basket £3.00, two plastic drawers (four drawers each) £9.00 (I haggled and was immensely proud of myself), a camping chair £2.00, a small folding table £5, three Digimon £1.50, and a brass (colour wise I don't know what metal it is) doe little statue thing. Oh and some crafty things for the hen for £1. I want to take advantage of any cheap storage I can find, I never knew how expensive it could be.
Also managed to clean my kitchen, feeling a bit tired now but very pleased with myself. I know it's not impressive but when fatigue strikes, having a clean kitchen is a fantasy. Maybe tomorrow I will sort the bathroom.
One last thing, saw my uncle and he's doing so-so. The thing that worried me was a neighbour's son popped over to see him, which ordinarily is lovely. But he asked for a cigarette immediately and he (I'm sorry for sounding judgemental) has had substance issues in the past where he ended up stealing. I just don't want my uncle, who is fiercely independent and stubborn usually, being taken advantage of in his present state. He'll be very annoyed when he's feeling better about it.3 -
Yes I think I would be concerned too. Unfortunately not that there is much you can do, apart from worry. Hopefully he was just "cadging a fag".

Thanks @badmemory I think for now I will wait and see. Might just be overprotective. He is actually a nice guy, pleasant to speak and in general polite, it's just sad that life has not turned out the best for him. Addiction is a terrible thing.
@newgirlyit looks very cute next to some Digimon.
Err, might be mum's big birthday in 2023, and I might be thinking about taking her to New Zealand where she has wanted to go since forever. No idea how to plan such a trip. Any tips would be welcome as I don't usually plan any holiday unless it's last minute.3
