Currently in bed feeling poorly. Must get up at some point to clean but oh hum.
@try_harder she's wonderful but all the cats are honestly. They've broken their new toy in a week which is pretty good for them.
My manager has got himself in trouble by refusing to come to a leaving do by saying he doesn't "want to be stuck with the kids". He's 40, the lady leaving is 30, he's being very hurtful in my book. Just showing his face for 10 minutes would have been fine. Our other manager couldn't go due to family issues but he has made a special effort to make sure she knows that he will miss her. No real point to the story, just jabbering.
Been good on some days and less so on others with the food front. My colleague has been encouraging me. Having set snack times have helped.
Work has got on top of me again. I think I should think about getting a new job, but not yet. Mainly because I am lazy, partly because I am testing the waters with new responsibilities which will help with new jobs and lastly because I'm trying to date. My energy is finite.
Got a fancy bath things jar £9 was £19 (very fancy) and a cookie mix in glass jar (bought for jar) for £3. The former to be a gift and the latter for me.
I have decided I want a rotary tool, why? No idea! I might just like collecting tools...4 -

I am feeling better thank you @greent I think it was my body reacting to the food I ate. I love bad pizza but it would appear that it doesn't like me back.
Saw uncle, he's looking sore but happier. I have to take a couple of weeks off from work so I'm hoping to take him to a garden centre.
Managed to not spend any money. Woohoo!3 -
Glad you are feeling better KP 🙂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2

Feeling a bit doubtful. I've had to take holiday so I thought I would actually go to Canterbury for a couple of nights. There's a theatre on the uni campus with a show on one night for £10 and then the next night there's another touring show for £45. Much cheaper than in London and I get to go back and look around after years. But some of my friends think I shouldn't go alone. I know it's unusual to travel alone but, I don't think I would get lonely, it's only for a couple of nights. If I don't like it then I can just drive home.
It would be minimum £200 and I should do practical things. So it's not the responsible thing to do.
Shall think about it overnight and then decide.4 -
Are your friends worried about your safety or just putting their feelings about not wanting to travel alone/being lonely on you? If it’s the former, I’d make sure you had a sensible plan and contingencies in place. Canterbury isn’t that dodgy, unless it’s changed dramatically in the last 20 years (I spent my first year at uni there). If the latter, then if you’re happy, go!When did you last get away? There will always be practical things you “should” be doing and spending money on, but after the last few years, we’ve all forgotten how to go out and have fun!Could you find a way to make it cheaper? I take a solo holiday every year (only in the UK though, not quite brave enough to do it abroad yet). A good book will keep you company in restaurants and your room, and you don't have to compromise on what to do or eat 👍
You've been doing a LOT of practical things lately, I think a break sounds like a great ideaMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

One of the things I miss most from being single was the opportunity to travel silly places to see theatre I was interested in!3

Thank you all. I appreciate your thoughts. @themadvix to answer your questions I have found a hotel in the centre, I was looking further out but decided that I don't know how my legs will be so centre will be more practical. I doubt it has become dangerous since I went to uni there (what a small world!).
I have decided to go. I've been feeling pretty low, and asked my friends who also went there expecting them all to be really positive about it and almost all of them told me that it's not the same. But I'm not expecting it to be? It's been a decade!
Regardless, I have many happy and nice things to be pleased with. So let's move on.
During the week I went to a local stuff shop that is quite spendy but they have this amazing clearance section. I get a lot from there. This week might be my best find yet. A trolley shelf thing, usually £30 because the box was opened and my price £4! All pieces there! All set up and perfect.
Saw my uncle today, managed to take him his chair so now he's happy because it's comfy and I'm happy because it's out of the garage. He's looking alright actually, I'm happy I've got to see him.
There has been progress with work. I had asked to get more involved in a technical area that I'm interested in. It actually happened! Totally shocked but happy.
And lastly, another thing to happy about, all your lovely comments when I'm questioning silly things. Do very much appreciate it.3
