That little poohead pictured in the box has been grumpy ALL DAY.

I stayed in bed most of the day. I regret nothing! I'm in a lot of pain but still managed to do my washing and cleaning the body of the sideboard. Need to clean the back and the drawers and then put it on its feet. I have also decided that I just need to complete the furniture that is halfway done. Good is good enough.

In a perverse way, I am quite looking forward to going to work. Not for work, just so I can look into the charity shops at lunch time.

Thanks sc! I celebrated by dancing to non-existant music and having a cup of tea!

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Some quick analysis of the 2021 expenditure shows that I mainly spent on the new car £5k, the new boiler £2k, being bridesmaid £900 and eating too much. Everything else is fairly immaterial. So this year I only have bridesmaid and overeating to contend with.

That's a pretty significant milestone there, kp - congratulations! 🥳

£900 cost to be a bridesmaid.... ouch!! Is this year's event likely to cost that much?

I really hope this is true! Having said that, if I hadn't redone the bathroom, replaced the boiler, carpets and car then I probably would have hit it more than a year ago!

Thank @greent ! I am seriously hoping that this bride and her head bridesmaid will keep an eye on costs. The bride I'm pretty sure will not push costs out but the bridesmaid is already talking about a trip away for the hen. Eek! I firmly stated that I will not agree to anything until I know the approx price.

Mainly the rooms, she insisted that I needed a particular room so that was about £500, the rest being petrol because she lives quite far from me and I have visited her many times over the 5 year engagement to help. Obviously there's things like shoes, underpinnings, gift, make up (I don't usually own any), paying for drinks at the wedding, providing things for the other bridesmaid because she couldn't afford it, etc.

The 2022 bride has promised that I won't have to touch the groom's underwear so I'm thinking I will enjoy this wedding more. Lol.
