Oh no sorry to hear about your uncle ☹️I’m nearly done, just my boys to buy a few bits for like records probably. I love the sound of a 30s Xmas table cloth and foil decorations, I’ve got my best friends mums very old ceiling decorations which used to belong to her nan. Nobody wanted them as they are so old fashioned 😆 they are not put up every year as it makes the room feel quite cluttered which isn’t great when we have a house full, but I do love using them sometimes 🌲MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁1

He will be alright! He's just a drama queen, can't do things by halves. I have given him a few taking tos and I think he knows not to do it again. If he does then he'll be in a lot of trouble.
I'm thinking of bunching them together and have them in the window. It might be a bit late now.. I haven't had a lot of time.
Saw my nanny today for the first time.. since covid started maybe? She only lives a mile away but she's 90 and has her daughter to sort her out with everything so it's just been so long. It was so lovely.
Err money. Nothing to report. Because I haven't looked at it. Whoops.2 -
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
Mine has been hectic. Lots of gifts but naps and ill health and seeds. Literal seeds, pulled out the dining table on Christmas day and there's seeds everywhere. They were multiplying. Saw my nephew for the first time in 2 years! He's so big. He had no seeds fyi.
It's not really slowing down as I need to get the house in order to get done, I'm the only one working on it due to ill health so I'm having to lug furniture from the family house to my garage. I have 3 more pieces to go in my garage and 5 more to go outside (to be scrapped when I can figure out the tip... Like... Where is it?) Then chuck all the little things into my garage again and then rip up the carpets. I have 8 more days to do this. So far I have removed 5(?) pieces of furniture, shoved a computer outside, broke apart a little table thing and discovered the ridiculous length of screws that grandad used to attach the mirror to the wall.
I hurt all over. But fingers crossed I'll make the deadline.
Money- oooooh boy. My credit card is heavy this month. I shall have to reign it back in January. I had a quick look in some shops and nearly bought some future gifts but the line was long. Also people keep buying in Robert dyas without checking the leaflets at the front of the store, there's almost always a money off voucher in it. I have no shame so I just talk to strangers and tell them they look like they've hit voucher amount (£25) and could be getting £5 off. They usually get so annoyed that a stranger is talking to them until they realise I'm a money saving gremlin.
Need to pay about £400 in insurance for the flat this week and another £400 in professional fees. Although, I should probably cancel one of them as one is higher than the other rendering the latter effectively useless. But the latter is one that I paid for and studied for largely by myself. It feels strangely sentimental.

Yesterday I destroyed a small table and then put a sideboard into the car but not much else. I was so tired, so ended up in town having lunch (a curry) and getting various bits to put away. Got a little board game and little stationery which will be great gifts in the future. Mum got a little Christmas tree and I got a fancy wrapping paper cutter and a sprocket set (£6!).
Today I need to relieve my car of the sideboard, pick up another piece of furniture and put things into boxes.
I might treat myself to a visit to b&q!2 -
Got a display cabinet dismantled partially and into the garage which is the final big/two people bit of furniture is out! There is a sofa to kick out the door and a chair to put in the car. Just bits to shove upstairs or to the garage or the bin and rip up the carpet. Hope it can be done in time.
Nipped into a couple of shops while getting lunch. Got myself a boardgame (Whitechapel) for £5! Also convinced a stranger to buy the game she was pondering. It's a great game, everyone should play games.
Also got more Gifty bits.

WEEEEEEEEEEEE
No more furniture to be moved out of the house- I do have a chair sitting in my car. Most of the stuff is upstairs or in my garage or in various cars. We did need to saw off the legs of the sofa, therefore I had to go into... the shed! Literally terrifying, I covered my eyes and waggled a duster around screaming "be gone evil demon". Not exaggerating.
I am hoping that the work will be complete tomorrow or Sunday.
So... I guess this is my mood right now:3 -
Goals for 2022
Money
Save £2k
Pay back mum (this is around £4k)
Invest £1k above my normal (£1200) ignoring pension.
Career
Ask what I can do to get a raiseConsider getting a new job
Do and record CPD throughout the yearPersonal
Go talk to the doctor about my knee (it hurts)
Lose 3 inches off my waist (start point is 35 inches)
Make some time for me- meaning that I get to do some of the things I want to instead of working or working on the house. Maybe aim for 1 day a month.Actually give dating a go. So, I guess actually respond to messages for minimum of 10 minutes a day.
Go on a holiday.2 -

Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!1 -
Thanks both! I think I have lacked me time with all of the to-ing and fro-ing from hospitals and houses and such. I think I will be in a much better mood if I can get some!
Got the carpets up! Hard work, don't know how tradesmen do this as a job, my everything hurts. If you are reading this and are a tradesman, please tell me your secret on surviving weeks of this!
Once that was done, I went home and had a nap only to be rudely awakened by a Dr who episode! I quite enjoyed it, there was an emotional bit that I didn't like but won't go into detail since it wasn't long ago aired. Hate to spoil it for anyone.
I now have a new (to me) detail sander, hammer drill, saws, and filing set. I claimed all of my uncle's tools (no one else needs them). Yesterday when we discovered that we couldn't sweet talk the sofa apart and it couldn't fit through the door I had to go to the shed as above and pulled out the tools that were not too scary to touch. I also have a TV for the first time since I was about 14 (it was one of the big ones and silver- I felt so fancy), also from my uncle. I will try to use it as a monitor for my computer.
Plan for tomorrow: wash my clothes (no clean things anywhere) and mooch. Oh and play with the cats.
