Anyone think the eternal property-price-pumpers on this site are not just estate agents or landlords, pretending to be ordinary punters?

Many are quite open that they are landlords, or bought recently or just want bubble prices for something they bought years ago, doesn`t make it any more palatable though?

OP can you send round a friend to view who your ex doesn't know? I suspect there is more going on there on a viewing day that's putting folk off.

I'm sure there are some (undeclared) estate agents too.

  • I'd put money on it he's doing something to put them off. ?bad smells damp clothes etc... sounds like he doesnt want to sell. I'd definitely get somebody he doesnt know to have a viewing. Even if there was a problem you should have had at least one offer of xxxx below asking because the kitchen needs replacing etc...

Many are ordinary punters with big mortgage debts IMO.

They seem very attached to their mortgages then, as a kind of hobby, if it isn't connected to their work.

Getting back on topic, if youve had 100 viewings and effectively no offers, not even low ball ones, there's something else going on. That many viewings says it's in the right ball park even If a little high.
You may or may not need a further price reduction but you need to get to the bottom of what the other reason is. Try a work colleague or friends your husband doesn't know for a viewing as suggested up thread before it went OT.
Also, you didn't mention feedback from the viewers via the EA. Whilst it's often useless, with 100 viewers there might well be a common thread if it's your ex playing games.

I can't believe the ex-husband has gone to the trouble of hosting 100 viewings but doesn't actually want to sell. If so, he must be a massive masochist.
