He wants to sell for £535k so he can get half of it which is £267.5k.

If you are desperate, sell the house for £520k, give him £267.5k and you will get £252.5k

That's actually quite a good idea, and may be less hassle and cheaper than going down the lawyer route, if the OP does not want to make life difficult for her ex-husband the cheap way.

It is the only way he gets anyone to agree with him.
Yes, please both of you ignore me. It would make me happy not to keep on having you reply to my posts.

You don’t have to reply, you just want to. Takes 3 seconds from someone posting someone for you to reply. Not healthy. If it’s people to talk to you are looking for, this is not the best way. This is a property forum. There are other ways to find friends or get help.
  • click on their user name... view public profile then on user lists and add to ignore

Just below the username, to the right of 'send message'
  • Would it not be more helpful to the OP to stick to helping her? Isn't there a thread on this forum where you can all have your arguments without just adding noise to this thread?

I went round it a different way. Go onto your profile page, user settings, edit ignore list and add the username to the ignore list.

If you are desperate and want to get on with your life you need to reduce the price. We put ours on the market for £630k last year and have had 2 sales fall through. In order to get on with our lives we have sold again for £520k because life is too short.
