Seriously, quit trying to advise on things you know nothing about i.e housing market. Your insistence on renting forever is not a vote a confidence.0 -

no she cannot. When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0 -

so ...could you explain to the OP how they go about doing this and the regulations they would need to abide by ?
You seem to have plenty to say on subjects that you may not know a great deal about.Your one line responses do little more than increase your post count rather than actually give good advice to posters.
Just my view, but you may be better advised going to the debate board or maybe the arms where you wont be seen as disrupting a genuine posters request for advice via a thread that you clearly want to monopolise.
Alternatively if the OP is willing perhaps you could correspond via PMin S 38 T 2 F 50

I would say her cheapest way of getting her ex-husband to budge would be to intrude regularly in on his life, and not let him have a quiet time. She should be a thorn in his side in any way she can. There are lots of ways she could assert her rights as a joint owner that he would not enjoy and may just decide he wants to get shot of a joint place. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I thought having a lodger is pretty unregulated. It does not even need declaring on a tax return under a certain rent, so the authorities just do not want to know. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

The point about pumping the market is a fair one IMO, although that is obviously much harder to do now with any credibility.0 -
True. The posters here who are trying to pump the market, subtly and not so subtly, are finding it harder and harder, since the world and his wife are now fully aware that the market in most places is going south. There may still be pockets of growth that have not yet caught up with the slump, but they are becoming fewer and fewer, and smaller and smaller. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Further unhelpful suggestions followed. They are continuing and derailing the thread, subverting the main reason for the MSE Forum's existence, which is to help people individually with specific problems.0
