Guess what? We still can't buy from Sainsbury's online, in spite of being physical customers for over 40 years. When this is all over, we'll remember our experience, and who's been looking after us - mainly Waitrose. If we never shop at Sainsbury's again, it will be too soon, to misquote Groucho Marx.1 -
Did a small shop in Sainsbury's this afternoon while out on my walk. It came to £32+. I tried contactless but it wouldn't work. When I asked why (as the limit increased to £45 this week) the casher said that Sainsbury's weren't doing it yet??
I do 90%+ of my shopping in Aldi these days but Sainsbury's is the nearest other SM for the 10%. The other option is Waitrose. I'm not impressed with either. Although they retracted PDQ, to avoid reputational damage, Waitrose had planned to ask all staff from a self isolating household to make up the time missed on their return to work for free!

That's true technically but as they were self isolating on government instructions rather than just staying off work voluntarily, it wasn't a good idea. It came across as punishing employees because someone in the family had symptoms. Waitrose must have thought so too, on reflection, as enough people disagreed with them to damage their reputation.
I think many people are compiling a 'black list' of companies that have behaved badly during this time. Waitrose didn't want to be on this. 🙂
