Anything I haven't already done will be rolled over and hopefully done tomorrow.

I had decided to change how and where I keep completed education packs (monthly lesson packs, externally marked for one of the children's subjects, the majority of other subjects, I plan and write my own lessons), now moved to their new location :)

I've set the washing machine to run overnight.

  • Morning all! :hello:

It’s been a busy few days at work and now a busy weekend with DH working night shifts (he’s currently snoozing upstairs).

Looks like today is going to involve mostly housework. I’m not really sure what happens during the week for the house to be in such a state by Saturday. Oh well...

    Today’s plans:-

    1. At least two loads of laundry (on quick cycle) and line-dry. Weather is sunny and windy - perfect!

    2. Strip and re-make children’s beds (bedding will make up one load of the laundry).

    3. Create meal plan for next week and write shopping list.

    4. All meals today from stores.

    5. Check accounts and update spreadsheets.

    6. Check survey sites x3, PMP etc.

Also have fingers crossed for a NSD today :) Just waiting for DS to settle for his nap and then off to hang out laundry. Enjoy the weekend! :D
Beware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship.

    Afternoon all :)
Lovely day, but it is supposed to rain for a week after today according to the BBC (who are often wrong, it is true...). So today mainly features washing and line drying. One load washed last night and pegged out early is almost dry, managed to peg out a second load, have another load in the machine and one waiting to go in  I think the airer will be coming out later!
    Apart from that:
    HGfruit for breakfast
Washed hair and left to dry naturally
    Usual kitchen clean up blah
Made aloaf in the BM - cba to go shopping today!

Picked beans, raspberries, a cucumber, a pear, still need to pick courgettes.
Cleaned rescued barbecue, came up like new
Cleaned rescued camping water container. It needed a new tap (which we had) and I will sterilise it, though it seems perfectly clean. This one can go to DD1 who holds large outside parties and had asked me to look out for another one - it is too big for us.
    Stll to do:
Take photos of tent damage with a view to getting a quote to repair it
Put bbq away once it has dried properly in the sun
    More washing shuffle
Put camper van stuff back in camper van (brought in to clean, now done)
Get bedding out of camper - it will get damp otherwise - and put it away

Dinner will be marinated salmon with garden vegetables :)
  • Morning everyone

Up at the usual 5:30am. Yesterday I managed to clean the kitchen, hurrah, the rest of the house is still a bomb site. Did food shop yesterday, spent 46p over budget. annoyed with myself as if I had taken my list into the last shop instead of leaving it on the car seat I would have not missed an important item which I then had to go back into the shop to get after I checked the list. I have to say meal planning really helps to keep the budget in check. Bless DD though she is trying to help, coming with reduced stuff from work. She works at Waitrose and went with me to Tesco the other day...her eyes popped out when she saw the differences in price...

Load washing machine - done, will pop in tumble drier
Lunch - left over pork stir fry
Dinner - pork roast in slow cooker with veg and yorkies. I tend to make proper dinner than lunch as DD works.
Lounge - make a start at tidying!!
Work - didn't touch my report yesterday so must, must work today, oh god I can't face it!

    Have a good Sunday
    Starting Total in September 2019 = £38287.77
    Current Total = £25534.10

  • Morning all :hello:

I really thought I'd posted yesterday, obviously just posted in my head :rotfl:

Yesterday was really productive. Made lemon curd and a cake. DH re arranged some furniture in one room and it looks so much better. I decluttered one room and that looks so much better too.

Today will look a bit like this:

Take some items back for a refund
    Go for a run
    Something from freezer for tea
    Declutter another space
    Chilled evening with DH
    Smalls to prepaid activity
    Out for a walk later
    Pick some fruit.
  • Sunday already.

    Done
    Checked banking
    Charged tablet and phone
    Taken medication
    Watered plants

    To do
    Tidy
    Do ironing and put away
Make spicy carrot soup to use up carrots and celery in fridge (have to use up what's in there before Friday)
    More sausages for lunch
Get suitcases from cupboard and pack medicine and toiletries
Phone friends with travel details for Saturday

    Must get started
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Morning Frugalistas,
Had a very rare lie-in this morning....
not sleeping, as once I'm awake that's it, but Mr F treated me to breakfast in bed & I browsed a couple of nice library books I borrowed last week.
*Washer was loaded last night for overnight laundry on cheap tariff, but am not actually activating it till tonight as Monday is scheduled to be the only dry day this week & I feel disinclined to be paying for heated airer use just yet.
*Changed bed linen & swapped to warmer duvet. Also put a blanket ready in case the temperatures dip. Heating is definitely not going on yet.
*Waiting in again for delivery - part 2 of our fridge freezer saga which I've droned on quite enough about in my anti-debt diary. When it arrives, will be able to arrange how I want to organise what is stored in which freezer as I think things could work better for me.
    *Picked another bowl of beans.
*Paid the £50 cash-out from YouGov into my secret little tin.
*Paid another 50p into my sealed pot.
*Rounded up small change to shrapnel pot.
*Knit more of the large Christmas gift I'm currently making.
    *Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Round up an assortment of leftovers for today's lunch.
*Synchronise diaries as being organised always saves us money.
*Decluttered a magazine to my friend.
*Write tomorrow's job list & identify goals for the coming week.
    Enjoy your Sundays, all.

Dawn-Sorry to hear about the awning. What a naughty horse! No sugar lumps for him!
I think I put the 'falling through the tent' saga in my diary, as a classic ending to the trip which began with me getting stuck in a bra. I would have attempted a sewing machine mend myself, followed by re-waterproofing of seam had it been only a small rip. Sadly it wasn't, so we are planning to arrange a repair by a business Mr F found up in North Lincs. They apparently send a courier to collect & mend tents, awnings, sails, etc, so at some point, we'll contact them & arrange a professional repair.
    Isn't it annoying though, grrrr.

  • Happy Sunday everyone!

Trying to make the most of today as it’s the only day of the week that DH and I get a (half) day together. He’s just woken up and taken DD1 grocery shopping. She’s actually very good at keeping him in check because she points out all the cheapest options. Only 9 years old, but she is brilliant at saving up her pocket-money and thinks it’s odd that anyone would choose to spend more than they have to - I’ve trained her well! :rotfl:

    For today’s little DFW things...

    1. Yet another load of laundry and will hang up on the airer. Was very tempted yesterday to just tumble-dry the second load of laundry, as the weather was looking a bit bleaker in the afternoon. The problem with having the washer-dryer is that it’s all too easy just to press that extra button and then have it all done in one go. But I did resist :A and it’s now mostly dry, ready to await the next load.

    2. Small shop at Mr T - DH has a list and a £20 budget. Hoping he sticks to it in his tired state because this is when he just seems to want anything and everything!

    3. DH brought home food from work last night that is enough for dinner for all of us so no cooking required :)

    4. Do have to make salted caramel shortbreads though as a little birthday gift for a colleague. Anything HM seems to be very appreciated and I love giving gifts :D

    5. Make lunchboxes for school/pre-school tomorrow.

    6. Check survey sites x3, PMP etc.

    7. Raid DH’s wallet and my purse for change to add to sealed pot.

    8. Wash and freeze raspberries and blackberries that DDs picked yesterday.

And hopefully still have some time to relax with DH :D
