Great result with the PPI Toni's friend
Hope u are feeling better ditty
1LL Christmas. While I'm very organised on the present front, the day itself maybe spoilt by DM playing up so could make for a nightmare day:( We're not looking forward to this aspect so are going to have to play things by ear on the day. Its great that u have it sorted, and better now the kids are older but it does get u thinking on the planning front.
Haven't had much chance to post DD had a friend to stay one night, that turned into 4 nights! Managed to clear the freezer of some things sitting in there that I had bought in (yellow stickered) for DD BF who hasnt been over. Making snacks when other friends came over before they went out came in very handy, they ate so less spending on food for them and my freezer is happier getting rid of bits with no purpose:j
Both DD and I have gone into hibernation mode with money. With both seem to have been spending a lot recently. DD said she is sure she can hear her bank card scream when it is used:rotfl::rotfl:
Still need to go looking for carpet for stairs and landing this afternoon:eek:
Quidco checked-nice little payout coming
Cheque banked this morning
Banking checked, everything good
RM surveys updated
DD swore being that an expensive shower gel was finished. I got one decent last shower from it this morning:cool:. Need to train DD better!
Things have settled down generally and I'm slowly hitting the paperwork and getting back into a routine.
Weather good, so washing machine on -using the eco setting
Made use of the amaz@n pantry deal with £10 off. I don't really use pantry as I find it expensive but was a great deal for cat food sachets. Did some sums before I put in the order:A (one time I wouldn't have done that)
I'm back into birthday present season. Was wrapping last night and ran out of paper. Refuse to buy another roll so friend has her presents wrapped in pokemon paper:rotfl:
All presents bought with a budget for each(under on all of them as most presents bought reduced or in sales and have been tucked away:))
That's about it from me. Have a great day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Morning...can I pop my head in? Trying to be like you all. Have so far to go...
Got up late this morning, 6:30 instead of 5:30 as I went to bed later than my normal 9:30.
So today:
* Check bank - done, thank goodness work expenses paid in to bring overdraft down
* Checked and updated budget such as it is
* Make dinner - I cook before work hence the 5:30 start. Chicken stew
* Tidy up in lunch hour (I work from home), the place is a bomb site
* Drop teen at work at 5:30
* Go to gym for a bit of relaxation for a few hours, shower there to save water, before picking teen up from work at 9 pm
* Bed at 9:30pm as I am up at 5:30 every morning even weekends

Toni'sfriend your talk of prescription has reminded me to talk to OH to see if he needs to order a repeat prescription.
We are able to order our prescriptions online from the surgery, they then pass it on to our local pharmacy who dispense and deliver our medication, if any thing needs paying for I can do this at the door, it's so easy and no temptation to spend anything else.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Welcome Narola1976!!
Crazy busy day yesterday - up at 6ish, at the gym for 7:45, then volunteering 10 til 2 (bought lunch there, but get volunteer's discount 20% - otherwise I would have had to have sandwiches for both lunch and dinner), home for a quick cuppa and to get changed, then out to work the late shift 4 til 9pm .
Today is a bit more laid back. To do -
- washing. Done, and hung out to dry.
- weekly shopping. Done (£13.53, for one adult. I average £18 a week, or just under £80 a month)
- ex's brother and sister-in-law coming over for a coffee. I've always got along well with them, so this isn't as weird as it might appear!!
- the last of last week's chicken for lunch, with salad
- off to work 1 til 6 (which means I can have lunch before I go and dinner when I get back).
- pizza for tea - I buy a pizza from Aldi, cook half and freeze half. This week I'll be having the half I froze last week, with some salad. It's my Friday night treat.
I used to have a glass of something alcoholic from stores on a Friday night and a Saturday night, but now that I'm working shifts and there's not pattern to them at all (except I get two days off every week), I now have my drink on a night when I'm not working the next day, rather than every Friday and Saturday. Otherwise I would be tempted to have a drink on Friday and Saturday and the evenings when I'm not working the next day!!
Keep up the good work people. The sun is shining, and it'll all be worth it in the end. xx
