Buddy, council are useless now days, I have been fiting them since March.
Apparently if I was a female, they would house me as I would be more vulnerable.
I will go council again next week.
I have spoken to shelters loads of times.. But no luck at all0 -

If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0

So technically if they have backdated my extra element, I should receive the extra element with my normal standard allowance at the end of the month right.0

Consider housing associations too.
I know they are not all the same, but years ago when I was in a similar position, it took me only two and a half weeks from applying, to visiting, to getting the new keys to my flat, so it can be done.0 -

Yes you should see the LCWRA amount automatically included in statements and it will just continue until a future assessment comes to a different outcome.
Shelter should be able to advise you of housing options, where you are living. If the housing is sheltered or temporary, you can claim housing benefit from the council. If the housing is not either sheltered or temporary, e.g it is with a Housing association or private landlord, then you can include housing on your UC claim. The comments I post are personal opinion.
