Legs21 said:I agree with @enthusiasticsaver - £200 in a card for Xmas and then £200 in a Thank You card when you leave (depending on how they are between Xmas and New Year!)
Just make sure you get the essentials to move into you new pad and the rest from month 2 onwards once you’ve settled in. Hoover can be bought in the sales if you’re that messy you’ll need it as soon as you move in

What kind of floors have you got in the flat, that will dictate what kind of hoover to buy, there's absolutely no need to spend £200 on a hoover 🙀I also recommend good old Wilkos for house things. Their premium range of plates and dishes are quite nice actuallyOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201

You’ll also need to start putting together a shopping list for food/cleaning/laundry products. Most of us already have the condiments and herbs/spices/salt/pepper in our cupboards, but you’ll be starting from scratch.MFW 2022 #71 £4400/£44001

Good luck with tomorrow - I would be mentioning (not so) quietly to someone about how you are worried about being in debt with spending so much on christmas food, the move, and that you will need to sell the car fast to be able to get everything paid. Sort of true, and if you word it properly it will for sure get back to the ones who think you are a cash cow!

I would not rush to go out and buy everything new at once. If the floors are wooden then a broom and dustpan and brush will do to start with. How dirty will it get with just you? Somewhere to sleep and somewhere to sit and some basic kitchen and dining utensils and bedding should get you started. Is it furnished or unfurnished? If it is furnished there may already be a hoover there.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Wow! It looks lovely and spacious. Why don’t you ask the agent if there’s a Hoover. Tell them you’re making a list of what you need, although looking at that video you could get away with a mop and brushMFW 2022 #71 £4400/£44000

I’m not saying buy this one but this is the kind of thingy you need for hard floors: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Laminate-Mop-Flooring-Microfibre-Duster-Cleaner-For-Wood-Static-Dust-Broom-Brush-/254086547189
