Im busy making cross stitch coasters for brother and family to go with hm peppermint creams dipped in chocolate and a little spray of silver dust stuff
Had a quick run round the shops to find tins to put the peppermints in and couldn't find any. I did get some tiny amaretti biscuits in a big bag for £1 in one of the £ shops. Keeping my purse firmly shut now till next week.

Started feeling very low after the election and didnt really pick up again till the last few days. I wont get political here as its a safe place to dream not worry. Ive had a lovely frugal Christmas including my Mum coming for the night on Christmas Eve. We all kept to our promise and didn't buy each other 'Stuff' only useable things and minimum wrapping paper.
Im now planning when to sell all my things as I didn't get them done before Christmas so maybe end of January. The thing is most of them are collectables so its usually people with money so they buy all the time.
Nipped to Emmaus charity last week and dropped stuff off but came back with a bugle for hubster, harking back to his youth in the boys brigade :rotfl: I bought a piece of voile for my bedroom window and that's all apart from cheese on toast and a cuppa.
Have cleaned up a wooden cased CD rack to put on local sales page, only want £5 so it should shift in a couple of weeks. Mainly just waiting to pack the decorations away on Sunday when Grandson has been for the night then I can see the wood for the trees.Clearing the junk to travel light

Hope everyone is having a good year so far. I have been very frugal and cut food shopping right down. Having had the flu for the last 5 days has helped because I couldn't shop at all. Hubby went for milk and bread so that was good.
Working on some cross stitch coasters that I am hoping to sell to the cricket team that hubby sometimes scores for. They have a long history and are very proud of it. I have so much to do but no strength to do it yet, very frustrating.Clearing the junk to travel light

Shook off the flu but struggling with my arthritis pain since but have pulled up my big girl pants and am getting on with it. Changed my Folksy page ready to add some things to it and have great hopes of selling some of my recycled and rescued things.
Sold a book on FB today so things are starting to move. Going to try and list one thing a day in various places.
Hubby is taking me on a wee trip tomorrow to Hebden Bridge, its a lovely little village with an amazing fabric shop so going to invest a few pounds there.
I am determined to get things moving and basically its ginnypower that's going to do it.Clearing the junk to travel light

How awful that you had flu. Well done in recovering although it'll will leave you vvv weak. I can't believe you have done selling and crafting even after that!!! Well done you. I hope you enjoy your visit and get some nice things in the shop for your projects.
Get well ginny.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Woke up and remembered Hubby bought me a 3m by 2m polytunnel yesterday!! It was a good price and my greenhouse which was very cheap in a sale has died. Of course it will save money in the long run and hubby considers it an investment. Been a bit spendy of late but only bits and bobs and mostly they are craft things that will be used and sold as part of projects. We don't get out of the house often due to our disabilities and are on a very low income so making a morning out by going to Emmaus charity and having cheese on toast for lunch whilst shopping there is lovely for us. Big bargain I picked up a modern version of the old ivory landline phones at Emmaus for a fiver. I keep having to replace the cheap ones as they break quickly but cannot afford the outlay for a good one. The last phone we got £9.99 drove me mad, everytime I answered it the cstretchy cable was tied up and the base fell off the desk, this then causes me pain as my right arm isn't working well, so picking up the new to me phone has cut my stress by 100%. Silly the things that drive me mad.
Im now going to get my derriere in gear and sell as January is done and things are getting back to normal. My son bought me a new to me mobile for Christmas and its a much better camera on it than my last one so that will make life easier - no amateur pics from me lol.
