  • Another busy week at work, complete with the corresponding stupid o'clock starts, rescuing errant arachnids, patching up assorted children that managed to break themselves each day and generally doing loads, but feeling far more relaxed and not exhausted or miserable/permanently expecting trouble like I did at the old job. I'm out on a course Tuesday, which will be nice.

Himself has had a full week's work for the first time in about five years, so the place looked horrendous. I got him to meet me at the pub Friday afternoon and had a nice chat about housework and money in the sunshine.

I spent yesterday morning having a good scrub at the kitchen after he'd cleared the crud away and then cleared all but one basket of clothes, throwing out another bag worth in the process, put all the washing on, hung it up and vacuumed downstairs.

Today, I've ignored the crashing sounds coming from the undergrowth, had a nice, long shower and dried my hair properly. He's got mates coming round for a mixing session, so he's dashing about doing all the things he should have done yesterday, but chose to spend it flumped out on the bed in the sunshine like the Idiot Cat.

As I did loads of stuff yesterday, I'm doing as little as possible today.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
