A question for you (well those in the know)

Where is it written that a thread will be closed down if it is not busy?
Where is it written that a thread will be closed down if it is not kept on topic? ie flying
Or has this come about by over heavy handed modding (or what ever it is called) in the past?

  • Morning all

I need to be back in and take it more seriously. Just back after a lovely short break with 3 girlfriends, lovely but so tiring. Full and long day at work yesterday followed by gentle gym class so that was the day gone.

So jumping in now: Today I have:

    Up, showered, dressed
    Bed folded back
    Clothes off floor
Dinner for tonight found in fridge (left overs so MSE too)
    Morning work done
Doctors appointment done (and all good too)

Now going to unpack and put suitcase away and then get a load of washing in.

Will try and get kitchen and bedroom reasonable tidy again today before I go back out to work latter today.

    Flutters off upstairs.

Where is it written that a thread will be closed down if it is not busy? No one will bother posting a thread if no one is interested or participating. We used to get over 1000 posts a week!
Where is it written that a thread will be closed down if it is not kept on topic? ie flying There was a battle with Mods over it a few years ago.. they had had complaints about the thread being posted weekly and said it has to be monthly or run endlessly like one of those stupid threads that goes on for years and years and has thousands and thousands of unreadable posts. Part of the weekly thread being permitted was that each post had an element of flying in it.. it can have anything else in so long as it has a bit about flying.
Or has this come about by over heavy handed modding (or what ever it is called) in the past?
It was agreed upon and in order to keep a weekly thread we need to abide by the rules we agreed with the gods at MSE towers.

Thank you for putting it so eloquently Piggers, I knew someone would know the history behind it this [STRIKE]rule[/STRIKE] request :D

I also remember in the past there had been murmerings, up at MSE Towers, that if it wasn't used it would be [STRIKE]closed[/STRIKE] archived.

I didn't mean to come down too heavy on people on here, and if I did I genuinely apologise. Blame it on me not feeling well.. I did try and word it gently. Please don't stop posting....

I've decluttered my meds and paracetamol/ibruprofen. Hung one load of washing out and popped another load in the machine.

I've also woken up with a swollen lip, only the bottom lip though, and a touch of earache. This lurgy is really weird.. Bless DH he has told me to rest, in his email from work, but I don't think he realises I've got stuff to do. And he is no good helping me due to his illness. Personally I'm going to put everything in bags and sling in the cupboard under the stairs, and worry about it when I get back..lol At least it will clear the living room so it is tidy for my friend who is coming round to look after the cats while we are away. Sad thing is she is my ex cleaner so I want it to look nice..lol

Hello all. Very warm here today but not sunny.
Dailies are done and one work shift, am about to put first of three washes on the line. Back to work later and I'll be busy till ten.

Will try to report back with progress.

Today's flying (so far) was putting the green (garden waste and uneaten food) and blue (recycling) bins out. Neither was full. Nor will by black bin be.
Flew out of work early to get to the jewellers to pick up a gift voucher for my friend. Independent jewellers beloved by all my friends!
Popped in M&S and v. kindly took some YS stuff off their hands. Have had another got at eating cauliflower rice. I think that's quite enough of that.
    Might do some proper flying...

Whoops - guilty of not posting but a good reminder, Natty.

Not sure where yesterday went - or today for that matter. I changed our bed first thing and got that bedding washed and dried. DH has been wfh today as the carpenter has been fitting new doors on the landing. Hurrah, at so very long last!

Got to get dinner on the table - back later.
