I have made it to another Friday! Been really good all week, but will see if I ruin it over the weekend. Weigh in first thing on a Monday.
Plan today:-
B - Coffee (HEA1), watermelon (S), banana (F)
EDITED TO ADD: Forgot my two boiled eggs for snack!
L - Jacket potato (0.5) (only from reading the SW mag did I realise the frozen pots were synnable),
Tuna (P)
Mayo (3.0) (a tablespoon just wasn't enough, so I squirted more in)
Sweetcorn (F)
Forgot my Muller Light, so that's a saving on 0.5 unless I have it for pudding.
D - Chicken Wraps - chicken (P), spices (1.0?), wrap (HEB), salad (S).
I have asked for SW wedges (F), but whether Mum (yes, I am 38, but Mum makes my dinner as she is my childminder :rotfl:) makes them is another matter.
Snacks - gin! Have decided to stay away from wine this week. Bought gin at the weekend and it's been looking at me every since in the fridge.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
Mortgages (End 2017) - £180,235.03
(End 2021) - £131,215.25 DID IT!!!
(End 2022) - Target £116,213.810 -
Did you buy the BNS chips ready cut up bubbs? Just wondering why they were so expensive?:)
Good luck with the gin Pollyanna. It'll be interesting to see if it makes a difference on Monday. I think if I were you (and as you're not going to group) I'd choose a different day for WI. Probably go for the end of the week then if you do have a synful weekend you have a chance of clawing some syns back. I have one of those jiggers for measuring my gin. Doing it by eye can be dangerous.;)
You could make your own jacket potatoes when you've got the oven on and then freeze them. That way they'd be free (and more mse:money:) as I think the shop bought ones have oil rubbed into the skins.
Great idea to get the family to lick the bowl kathrynha. That reminds me of a woman who used to come to my group. She couldn't trust herself with chicken skin so as soon as she took it off she threw it straight in her dog's bowl.:D
Baked beans are only free these days esme. They used to be protein but SW decided there isn't enough in them.:( Same with peas but not other pulses.
I've got just about enough in to make tonight's dinner but really need to shop to have anything decent for lunch. I think I'll have a late lunch after shopping.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit (F), baked beans (F), fried egg (P), HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: tbcliver (P), fried onions, carrots, kale, braised red cabbage (S), mash, gravy (F)
Syns: weekend wine:T
The gravy is LO from HB steaks so I'm counting it as free.
I'm out tomorrow evening. I know the menu is based around cold meats and salads so not too synful (just a bit of dressing and I'll skip pudding unless fruit available) and I'll be driving so alcohol free.0 -
Funnily enough Maman I've bought some liver this week. Planning on making some faggots using half of it which will do both of us two meals. The other half I'll use for liver & bacon later in the month.
Haven't had liver since last autumn!

Just read on our Facebook page that there will be Free membership voucher in next week's Best magazine if you know of anyone who is thinking about joining. It's valid for 2 weeks. There's also a free journal/recipe book for anyone taking out a 12 week Countdown starting the week after.

Bubbs curry always looks gorgeous!
I noticed Heron have the Mayflower curry sauce in the freezer section as well, don't look like very big portions though.
Morning all.
Well done to the losers. :TGettingtherequickly wrote: »Gained 1lb, was not a happy bunny. Realised that I had a lot of bread this week, don't usually eat it as it impacts, also when I went to loo this morning, registered not been all week, so with those out of the way, can only improve for next week!
As with everyone, taster last night, was surprised to see the area manager, who commented on my taster. Only made Greek yoghurt with sugar free strawberry jelly topped with fresh strawberries, thankfully set nicely, but was surprised to be told by the manager that the jelly is actually 1 1/2 syns per packet, I always thought it was free? I don't eat desserts so not been an issue.
On the plus side, I won a free week in one of the games, timed to perfection, my countdown ended yesterday and there is a new journal for the next countdown special which begins in 2 weeks. I probably would have paid next week to get the journal, but free week is a good bonus!Did you buy the BNS chips ready cut up bubbs? Just wondering why they were so expensive?:)

Oh and BTW i am NOT having KFC today
 Why ever not?? It's Friday!!:D
I find the easiest way to do BNS is to cut a piece off the length of the chips you want. Then 'peel' it on a chopping board by cutting the skin off vertically. Then cut it onto chips. For some of it you'll have to hollow the seeds out of the middle when you start cutting. Hope that makes sense.:)
Liver's only just gone back on the menu here denise. DH said he'd gone off it a while back so I stopped buying it. Then we were eating out with friends a month or so ago and one of them had liver & onions. DH said how much he liked it. When I got him home;) I asked him why he said he liked it and he said he'd changed his mind! Men!!:D
I did my shop and decided on a veggie omelette for lunch when I got home. I've also bought some cabbage to add to tonight's dinner.
I was in our local Co-op yesterday and noticed some chilled meals on offer.

The lamb and the chicken are coming out free on the syns calculator so I thought I'd give them a try. I might swap them into this week's plan so that if we like them I can buy more before the offer ends. I just thought that sometimes it's good to have something easy to just throw in the oven.0 -
Bubbs you definitely need a big very sharp knife to peel and cut the BNS. Still haven't got round to doing BNS chips! Usually use to make a curry along with some sweet potato and sometimes red lentils as well.
The smoked haddock chowder was really good and definitely something I'll make again.

Weighed in this morning and very pleased to report -2LB.
4weeks today I’ll be on my hols so I’m just going to keep going.
Dinner tonight is stuffed mushrooms with watercress salad and berries with creme fraiche (3)
Veg curry is on the go for tomorrow evening and I also have some salmon that I will have for lunch with salady bits.
Sunday will be a roast.
Feels really good to have a plan for once.0 -
