Is there anyone who thinks that reforming the voting system isn't a good idea? I honestly was hoping for a hung parliament and a progressive push to Proportional Representation, but I don't think that's happening for a decade now at least.
Would be interested to hear if anyone is against the idea of PR.

  • Forget Corbyn, he's history, and the opposition party are reduced to rubble.

Where do we go from here guys? Parliament will of course pass the withdrawal to have us legally leave the EU by end of January but we move into a transition period whereby we're still paying EU membership fees, we're still in the customs union and members of the single market. That transition period is meant to last as long as a trade deal takes to come to conclusion which is either likely to be quickly within the year if we maintain EU standards and a close trading relationship, or much longer if we want to fully de-align. Are either of those scenarios are anticipated and accepted by the Brexit crowd?

And what of other policies? In a campaign that has focused entirely on delivering Brexit, are you expecting anything else in this five year term to be done? If so, what?

Well, we have a majority right wing government run by posh privileged thickos acting as puppets for a mendacious unelected psychopath, endorsed by a supine gullible electorate who will do whatever Rupert Murdoch tells them - as long as it involves kicking foreigners out.

So I'm sure it will all be fine.

As a dyed in the wool Labour voter who strongly believes in democracy I think you need to give them a chance. I don't like it either but the result was decisive. I accept the result but I would like to know the plans for the full five years as the campaign was fought on a single policy that will be enacted next week.

So after Brexit, what are the big domestic policies you want to see Tory folk?

Nope, sorry. A majority of people making the wrong decision doesn't make me any less right and them any less wrong.

    Don't you worry.

    I'm not going anywhere.

    :)

    How?

What do you think the Tory majority government should do after Brexit is done?

They've been in power for nine years. They've added billions to the national debt and driven the poorest and most vulnerable people in Britain to the edge of despair, as well as gutting our public services.

Boris Johnson appears to be a cowardly, misogynistic racist who hides in fridges and confiscates journalist's phones rather than face the evidence of this. When he's not babbling incoherently when asked to justify his, apparently endless, lying.

How much more of a chance do you think they need?

Oh, who cares. That's what English people want. Hope they enjoy it.

Technically they've been in coalition for 7 out of the 9 years.

Boris has also won a swathe of Labour heartland seats so his voter base is now radically different. These are seats that voted to leave and lent their vote, they are leasehold rather than freehold, he will do well to keep them next time round.

The national debt is a poor argument too. They were left with a large deficit after the global financial crisis required spending injection whilst tax take declined. Just like it wasn't Labour's fault that happened, it's not the Tories fault the debt has grown since.

Be objective and grown up rather than reactionary. We'll need to be to win back the people we've lost in five years.
