    In the end .... we got back over £60k from Santander & Bank of Scotland .  Resolved worked and for that I am grateful.

    A spelling error I suspect. Earlier the OP referred to use of the Resolver E-Mail template.

    I didn’t clarify.  Resolver template worked.  
    Bank of Scotland: 39k  A credit card ( 10K limit)  Account opened 1999
    RBS 6k:  2 loans 1997 1998
    santander  15k  ( house of Frazer cards)1995

    Earlier in this thread before it did turn a bit silly, I had thought that the banks lied about their records in order not to pay out on these complaints.  I don’t have any evidence of that except that in 3 of our complaints we have been asked to submit more evidence, which we don’t have.   And in one, the mortgage had gone through a broker who is no longer registered with FSA ?

    The food standards agency has never regulated mortgage brokers. :)

    If the mortgage was arranged after January 2005 with the broker, then you should raise the complaint with the FSCS.  However, if you have not already done so, then you are too late.

    Banks have no idea what insurances you arrange via third parties.  They are not liable for the actions of third parties either.
