I've seen some ridiculous arguments and statements on the board in my time, but this has to be the best yet.
"I lost my money because I was stupid enough to give my card to my friend who withdrew it (and a lot more) and this all is the fault of the DWP". Quite frankly absurd and ridiculous, one of the most ludicrous posts I think I've read anywhere ever, and I've been online for 20 years.
As to the situations of the DWP having to repay you because of armed robbery of the bank, sorry that's not the DWP's fault. if they organised the robbery than maybe, otherwise, its a fruitless argument, you might as well argue you lost your money in a flood, let's sue God.0 -
This thread is hilarious, better than watching ‘Jeremy Kyle’ show….ooops that been cancelled too..lol
Your honour, that facts as we understand them are:
In 2016 (the alleged date of the incident) OP was on benefits, had some sort a breakdown and was admitted to hospital.
Whilst in Hospital, OP did NOT want to loose out on receiving the benefits and therefore told a friend to make sure he/she withdrew the benefits from the bank on a regular basis and IMPOTANTLY provided the required documents to enable this to happen.
This ‘Friend’ (Lets call him Honest John – HJ for Short) started taking the money from the bank as requested, but the temptation of FREE money was too much and ‘HJ’ took ALL the money from OP’s accounts.
OP came out of Hospital and was unable to locate ‘HJ’ so went to the bank. Only to discover that his friend ‘HJ’ had emptied the accounts.
OP being the innocent naive individual (Like a 2 year old) thought this was NOT his fault, he had NO blame in all this and that someone else should cover the lost money.
The BANK said – sorry sir/madam not our problem - unless you can prove you had no part in this (e.g. unless someone is arrested and convicted)
The DWP said - sorry sir/madam not our problem – we have paid the money into YOUR account as instructed.
Feeling lost and hard done by OP dug up some irrelevant obsolete law and tried to chase DWP.
When that failed.
OP came on a discussion board to validate his logic.
When that failed.
OP invented a new persona to try and prove that the someone else in the same position had the money paid back.
When the board members linked the two ID’s as being the same person OP ran away…:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Have to agree. If OP is currently unwell, and there is a mention of a bipolar diagnosis somewhere, being ridiculed isn't helping them. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Are you saying every payment the DWP makes needs to be handed over personally, in person, in cash or coins, to fulfil delivered John?
Don’t be so stupid!0 -
:rotfl: I only read the first page but isn’t this pretty much a fantastic example of the feelings of entitlement so many people seem to have today?!0
