Once the money is in YOUR bank account the DWP have discharged their obligation. It then becomes YOUR money. What happens to that later is up to YOU.

  • JGB1955,

Why does the DWP stating in law I should get one hundred pounds sterling per week if the DWP give it to a bank discharge the DWP from their duty when the DWP are those that owe me the money?

If the bank won't let me lift the one hundred pounds sterling from their branch have the DWP discharged their duty which the State (UK Government) pursuant to UK primary legislation are legally obligated and state that I am owed by them due to my circumstances one hundred pounds sterling per week their duty?

What you said does not make sense until I have that one hundred pounds sterling.

It's not wages. It benefit entitlement in law that can't be wiped out. If you can't get to your wages and have no money and apply and the DWP agree to pay you until you next get to your wages and they pay it into the bank and the bank won't give it to you have the DWP fulfilled their legal duty?

You do know what the job of the Department of Work and Pensions is?

    Regards

They haven't given it to the bank, they have given it to YOUR bank account, a huge difference. You have then completely of your own accord allowed a friend/ex friend to remove that money from YOUR account through your own incompetence and stupidity.
    It's nothing , not nothink.
  • The point that you are deliberately missing is that you received the money the moment that it hit your account. You had it, and then later it was stolen.

    Hello

    I do not understand.

What did the OP do wrong?

I have complained to the old Benefits Agency years ago after my money was stolen before I collected it and they immediately arranged a girocheque in my local office to take across the road to the Post Office.

They even recommend I changed bank as the bank was not keeping to its agreement it had to pay of benefit payments.

Comedy gold. Either an alter ego of OP or a friend from the institution.

Signs up today and first post is that.

    Totally different scenario btw.

Back to your buckfast the pair of you.

Of course they did.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:i see you end your comment with your name, just like the OP does.

If you have a complaint with a Government department, then ask Citizens Advice for help...

The difficulty with this is that local Citizens Advice charities are mainly volunteer based, and are hugely overstretched. Many, many clients have a legitimate challenge against the DWP and desperately need help to get a flawed decision overturned.

Every Cit A office will have a minority of clients trying relentlessly to pursue merit-less challenges. They can impose a strain on office staff and resources, and detract from focusing our efforts on those vulnerable clients whose case does have merit, and whom we can help.
Often these then become serial complainers (note the OP constantly repeating himself, being unable to engage rationally with other forumites, and then continually criticising them, using alter ego's, etc), this imposes even more work on a hard pressed service which has to investigate / respond to every compliant received.

Local Citizens Advice's offices are reliant on some brilliant, inspiring, and generous volunteers who do their very best to help genuine (and often vulnerable) clients, with only very limited office funding and resources. They can really do without having to deal with client's whose case has no merit, are unwilling to accept correct advice, and then become confrontational with volunteers / staff.

I'm amused by the OPs assertion that on their first day in hospital the hospital took it upon themselves to contact the DWP on his behalf. If you mention benefits to any of the hospital staff I've ever worked with, both in general hospitals and MH units, they run screaming for the hills whilst repeating at regular intervals "not our remit."
Aside from the fact that they don't know your benefit situation or national insurance number unless you tell them, in which case you can do the honours yourself anyway.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Amazing. Brand new poster. Very unusual way of writing, the exact same ‘not quite typical’ way of writing as the OP. Assuming second language but with the same nuances. Says girocheque same as the OP which I haven’t heard for yearrrrrrs (if ever, was always just giro round here) also agrees with the OPs bizarre views.

There’s two of them! obviously. Couldn’t be anything else.
