I hope that once DD1 sorts herself out and her pink is at FT school I might get a bit more home alone time to sort my pit out.. it is vile.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Good morning
Thank goodness Friday is here.
Work again, and then somehow I have to rush DD from school in small town to hospital in big town for an appointment. Spare positives welcome as this is a follow up from the last one to investigate further. And all in a Friday afternoon when the traffic is solid.
I’ve done HHI this morning and sorted a load of washing. Yesterday over the course of the day and evening I did manage to strip our bed, wash bedding, and give the room a clean. Result.
Have a lovely day everyone.0 -

I can't even remember the last time I cleaned the bathroom.. definitely not this year..
I was a bit like that in our previous house when I was working. We've moved to our new house in July, and had a new shower put into our bathroom (I say bathroom, it has no bath and was previously converted to a wetroom, that leaked, hence new shower). There's some motivation to keep the shower screen nice and squeaky clean because it's new. We have horribly hard water here, some of the hardest in the country apparently. We've had a couple of companies in to quote for water softeners, will make a decision while we're away so hopefully we'll have that sorted within the next 6 weeks. Can't wait. The shower screen in our previous house got quite pitted from the limescale and lack of regular cleaning, not going to let that happen again.
Have been swimming this morning, washing load on, managed to book an appointment to get my hair cut this afternoon.
Can I motivate myself to mop the hard floors...... been on my mental list for a while........Make £2025 in 2025

We have superhard water too.. I scrub the shower daily or it has a nasty coudy limescale/soap film over it. I had a new bath and shower fitted a few months ago and it just doesn't build up mess like it did previously. I bleach loos constantly.. with 11/12 people living here plus visitors it gets grim pretty quick but I do that so often I don't even count it as cleaning it is just routine.
Mine needs new tiles now but they are so expensive!
Kitchen needs mopping tonight once the wombles are in bed/sent home.
Swimming this afternoon for Squeak, Dot and Pixie.. Twinkle can start next September when she is 4 I think at 3 the co-ordination is still very much lacking.
Pixie vacuumed their bedroom yesterday and it is far from perfect but will do for now when there is somuch more to get through.
Todays shenanigans..
Front room needs GUTTING.. it is hideous.
stairs need vacuuming
Landing needs clearing.. it is full of boxes of gibble.
Next week I still have my daughter and her small coming round constantly but the week after I can get right stuck into this pit.

Morning, not been posting as not been flying apart from dailies.
Two sickly dogs to clean up after at 5am this morning but I went back to bed until 8. They both seem perfectly fine now so once I've washed my breakfast dishes I'll take them for a walk.
First of four wash loads is in the machine.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0
