Fat club attended. Gained half lb in 2 weeks which included ds2’s Birthday, holiday, and anniversary so I suppose it could have been worse. Drove to school town to go to Mr A’s to collect supplies. Last day of the summer break here.

    Dailies done
Chemist visited yet again and doctors still haven’t sorted my mums injection and medications. They asked if we really needed it.i give up. They promise to do it today.
    I’m really lacking in energy.
I need to go to see dancegran as her thermostat is playing up and I have tried to google it with a telephone description but I need to see it for myself.
    Towels washed
Garden holes filled in and whirlie adjusted. DS2 pulled it out of the ground and charged in to the conservatory window with it. I used it today but the clothes were nearly touching the ground.
  • Couple of reminders for parents;

If they have new shoes for secondary, give them some plasters in case they get blisters. Shoes above a certain age (especially where girls are concerned) can be utter rubbish.

If they've been diagnosed with something, their treatment has changed or there is anything vaguely medical it might be handy for whoever is in medical to know, please update the records, send in spares with explicit instructions on how to deal with x, y or z and make sure your mobiles are charged.

Kids can fall over on the first day and they can get ill (or simply feel a bit anxious). Having the information and medication first really helps.

And encourage them, if they're new, to find out where medical is and to be articulate about their diagnoses, including the names of any medication they take. Even little ones can learn to repeat such little phrases as 'I'm allergic to plasters' or 'I have two puffs of salbutamol with a spacer' (send us a spacer, too, please!)

    I've been really busy today.

In other news, though, I apparently have 'great eyebrows'. Which is nice to hear (I think).
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • Good evening all,

Bank, Aldi, pet shop and cafe visited this afternoon. Laundry is airing inside (didn't quite dry outside), and kitchen has been put to bed. Ingredients out ready to chuck in SC in the morning.

    Have lovely evenings all xx

  • Morning all,

Gosh it's dark! I have put dinner in the SC and am slurping a cuppa. DH taking the children to school on their first days back so I don't have that to do. Despite my best intentions to look groomed everyday for work this term, I am already resorting to just washing the fringe and dry shampooing the rest :p I do have make up on though :A

All our students are back today, I wonder how many times I will hear "Mrs ATB"... today (several hundred I reckon).

    Have fab days all xx

    Morning all

Up and ready as usual but a grumpy teenager seems to have moved back in over night. Something to do with having to get an early bus. - even earlier than last term as the timetables have changed .

Another full day at work, so minimal flying again. Yesterday evening’s towel wash is still drying indoors. I’ll sort some washing out before I go. No ironing pile, so there’s a plus.

Have a lovely day everyone. Especially Twinkle at nursery.

Hello all, posting here for the first time. I've tried Flylady on and off over the years, but my best intentions have been thwarted. I'm now having another go as I've stopped working, moved house, downsized and trying to get into new routines.

May I ask, the daily lists, is there a particular reason they are posted daily rather than a whole week's worth at the start of the week? I only ask as I hate bathroom cleaning, and circumstances dictate now that this is done on a Thursday. It used to be Friday, but now I'm swimming on Friday morning so bathroom will have to be Thursday. So if the FL thread puts bathrooms on Tuesday, I'm scratching around or doing nothing on Tuesday. I've tried looking at the previous week's Tuesday and doing that instead, but then those tasks may pop up on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

I was just wondering if a week's tasks were posted up all at one go, I could swap my day's around to fit. Just a thought, but obviously I don't want to butt in and make life awkward for anybody.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning

The rooms move round each week, we have a new thread on a Sunday, the jobs per room also change round.
The lists are a guide only, you can do what you like when you want.
I hate the shower room, so I often clean the oven when that comes round :)

    Ironing done
    Sockmore sorted
    Freezer sorted

Good luck to all flykids going back to school today, it seems all grandkids got on ok in their new schools yesterday.
