Hippeechiq, if you do an advanced search, up near the top right in the green bar, and search for old style recipes, you will find a list of recipes and, on another post, a list of books and websites which will help you.

Is there a link for Slow Cooker Recipes at all?

Also.....years ago now, I'm sure there used to be a Monthly Menu Planner where people used to show their planned menus for the month.
I've searched extensively, but I can find a thread for either.
If there is/are and someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it 🙂

Do I need it or just want it.
  • We have a beef stew in the slow cooker today - looking forward to it when I get home.
People aren't broken, they're just interestingly wired.
  • Turkey meatballs (initially browned in a wok) with a jar of garlic tomato sauce, mushrooms, onion and broad beans. Served with some steamed veh. Leftovers frozen in portions for work.

Made a sausage casserole in mine today - finished work at 3, but with taking courtesy car back and picking up new car I didn’t get back until 5:30 so was a welcome thing to get home to. Made a big Yorkshire pud in the skillet in the oven to go with it. DD and I well fed :)

I recently bought a slow cooker and as a 72-year-old male who lives alone what a wonderful discovery it has been! Why has it taken me so long? I only have dentures and I can't use the bottom set so eating certain food has been difficult, but now the meat just falls apart after cooking, and I am batch cooking meals so I have plenty of wholesome meals in the freezer.
Low Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

Cooked a gammon hock along with loads of vegetables in mine today.  Still have some veg left but not enough for another meal so will probably end up whizzing it up for soup.
