Another week flies by but all good on the whole.
What to update first?
Well business good with the new kids, a few need a bit of behaviour management but that will come as they settle in. A couple haven't shown up so we see if they come next week and then contact the people on the waiting list. I can't do a session the week after so don't want them to start and then stop straight away.
Main job is ok, very busy and still some communication issues to iron out.
Second job good too, had a lovely shift at the additional place at the weekend. Got pay slip today though and they haven't added my night enhancement again so sorting that out.
I have teaching hours this weekend and a night shift, then next weekend a double night shift. Feel like I need another holiday, in fact I've still got lots of leave from main job to take so will look at when I can fit it in.
At home I've been doing bits of painting on the attic stairs, slowly getting there and hope to do a bit more this weekend.
Debts:Loan - current balance £1921.67 - next payment on 25th Sept

So I have news....
After a chat at the weekend with dh, and realising that no matter what I do my main work role is just a waste of time. I am fed up of so called colleagues not responding to emails, bored in what I do and demotivated when manager suggests paying an external person to help with some work instead of paying me to do more hours on the very project I run!
I have applied for 3 jobs back in management and taken the risk of sending in my resignation letter today as it's a 3 month notice period. I would rather be finished by Xmas and not drag on, if the worst comes to the worst I can pick up shifts in my other job and then I would be on a normal tax code.
I miss being part of a physical team, I can work on my own but goodness me there's nothing like human contact and a project to get me excited.
So change is afoot, might need to change around my business and club timings to suit whatever role it is but it needs to be done.
Tired of fighting, tired of working 3 jobs.

That sounds a huge decision but 3 months is a decent chunk of time. There's a high number of unfilled jobs - hope one of them has your name on it and that it's an improvement on where you are. I've resigned with nowhere to go before now - it concentrates the mind... Writing a list of what you hope for in your next job - will help you spot it when it comes up. Your brain will unconsciously look for it...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Happy 2023! Hope you had a great Xmas and all the best of good vibes for the year ahead.
Lots to tell you about and many plans for the year ahead, we still have debt but let's start with the news.
I got the first job I applied for, back in management and with a great team. I've been working a couple of days a week whilst I worked the rest of my notice period and from tomorrow will be full time. It's a big jump in pay and alongside that the responsibility is bigger but as I say I have huge amounts of support and have already got lots done.
I don't know for certain what my monthly pay will be until next pay day, also need to find out what to do about my P45 as I don't want to be paying basic rate tax on my first pay packet.
Really looking forward to getting stuck in properly.
DH is working hard (well he's on leave at the minute) he's doing well with his degree and settling a bit more.
Kids are fine, dd will be getting school bus when she goes back next week as I won't be able to take her.
I've finished my own business, dropped a coaching session and stopped volunteering every weekend. Feeling less tired and we have lots of family plans.
The house is back to normal, with all the decorations put away and now need to crack on.
Debts:
As mentioned I need to wait until payday to be able to budget properly but we will have a mixture of debt payments plus savings pots.
School bus £450 - I have £400 already just waiting on invoice
Last school payment £2600 - this will be priority to get it all sorted
Computer £2100 - have made overpayments but will hold off until above is achieved
DH credit card £200 - will pay off when I next get child benefit
Loan - 11 more payments to go (£133.91 per month) will.leave it ticking over for now
We will also have kids computers to pay for.
In addition to this we have some savings goals, first target of emergency fund £1000 currently have £130. Next stage of house decoration is carpet in the attic/top stairs. I also want to drip feed money into saving for our shed to be rebuilt as a proper utility room and storage area.
Lastly we want to go abroad this year, we are looking at long weekends in European cities, I've just had my new passport back so need to get some costings together and start saving.
Phew right here we go!
