  • Good morning, car payment has gone out so I've updated my signature, this will be under 4k by Xmas still a lot but will be nice to see a 3 at the beginning. Loan payment has also gone out I can't update this until tomorrow as the balance doesn't update until then, I'm hoping that this balance will start with a 1!

I'm going to do a search on phone/broadband, we're currently paying £45.99 a month for fibre and we hardly use the phone. A bit wary to change as we never have a problem but it seems a lot of money for what we get.

Pottering around at home today, amazing how much I clean and tidy and then the troops come home and it's trashed again. I also need to do some planning for work and send out some flyers for my business.

  • Hmm not a good start to the day, the suspicious transaction from last month has come up again it turns out that it's been set up as a recurring payment so cancelling dh card was pointless. I've spoken to the bank and they said they can't do anything until it clears and then they can stop future payments. They can't refund it though and suggested phoning the company but I know it's not them as we don't have an account with them! It's just over £10 which isn't huge but it's my money!

Anyway back to actual progress - loan balance has been updated and does indeed start with a 1 yay, used a prepaid card from voucher site to top up ds dinner money which has been reduced again to £5 minimum payment so much better than the £15, I need 2 receipts to be authorised to get a £5 paypal payout plus a small payout from another survey site so will send that to the credit card. Luckily I need to go to 2 shops today so hopefully that will clear by this evening.

I looked at broadband and can get monthly payments down to £27 a month for 18 months, will chat to dh later. Does anyone use Pl88n8t?

Hopefully the day will get better! H x
  • Well an interesting day, phoned existing broadband company and have got monthly payments down to £27 a month plus a free film and credit on October's bill will mean that we only will pay £8 next month. Probably send an extra £20 to the credit card.

Colleague is driving to Cardiff so getting a lift with him which means no train fare to fork out for so when expenses finally get paid I can use it to send a nice lump sum to card.

Discovered when I got home from the shops that the bottom of a glass bottle had broken and pierced the bottle of milk and was all swimming around in my bag, had to replace both, wash my bag and the floor and also replace my purse as it was horrible. I did need a new purse so I suppose it was just earlier than planned.

Receipts have been snapped, surveys done, waiting for the kids to get home from school and then relax for the evening.

Great news on the broadband reduction. We use the other supplier you mentioned - and have no problems.

  • Hi de hi, had a late night last night at home watching a film and a cheeky glass or two of wine I'm such a lightweight as don't drink much!

Today the family are cooking, dh is doing a curry, dd is making ginger cake and gingerbread, later I'll be making chapatis to go with the curry.

Expenses have been paid, yes shocked is an understatement! I have made a payment of £95 to the card and left the rest in the account. I need to update the signature in a min.

A few chores to do today but otherwise a nice chilled out weekend.

  • Good morning, how is it October already? I have a busy time with work now with cross country and indoor competitions so enjoying the calm before then.

Some survey pennies have come in so I paid another £10 to the card, nearly at £2000 mark which is great, I have some cashback pending and need to do expenses but as we all know that will probably be paid next month!

I phoned the bank yesterday to stop the recurring payment to the unauthorised transaction, hopefully that stops the problem. I need to pay the next installment of my business insurance today, session was cancelled yesterday due to the weather but tonight's session is indoors and I'll be able to pay myself the coaching hour.

Today's jobs - surveys, expenses, clean the bathroom, early tea for dd as she is helping at school this evening, load of washing.
