Hi de hi, thanks Jan yes should really read myself!! So I managed to phone r.e. credit card and yes half 0% finishes Oct 2020 and half March 2021, so I really won't be able to pay it off by October but I'm going to change my focus yet again and attack it as much as possible. Therefore I've paid £75 to it today that I was saving towards the car payment and will throw little bits and pieces as it as well as the monthly payment too. I'm 3 months ahead on the car payments so will finish May 2021 instead of August at the latest.

Busy this morning in the garden, repotted all the plants into bigger pots again, the tomatoes should flourish a bit more now and need a feed this evening.

5 days until payday, then a few more payments towards the debt.

Another beautiful day, never known such a long period of good weather usually it's sports days and bound to be raining! Up late this morning which was odd as I slept well, woken up briefly by the smallest little thunder storm, 2 thunder claps and 2 strikes of lightening and that was it, very strange.

Went for a run with dh saw a few people we know for the first time in weeks which was lovely, he is so much more positive now he knows he is going back to work on Tuesday, then went shopping for my parents and now waiting for the washing to finish so I can hang it out although dh needs to take down the hammock so I can put it out.

Not much happening finance wise, although had a word with myself yesterday as was looking to get a takeaway pizza as I had a terrible headache and couldn't be bothered cooking. I stopped myself and went across the road to L*dl brought 2 of their lovely pizzas and it was great. Must write a note to myself 'Lidl pizza is amazing, don't be lazy!'

Need to do a menu ready for shopping tomorrow and a bit of housework.

    See you later, H x

Glad you know the dates for your 0% cards. Good that you found nice pizza and saw friends. It all helps.

Windy day today had to go and rescue a few items from the garden, hope everyone is having a good day.

I forgot it was bank holiday on Monday so I've been paid today, weekly shop done and stuck to the list. I've also transferred £50 to emergency fund, £50 to general savings and £50 to the washing machine fund. I mentioned to dh that his pay on the 1st June will be low due to furlough and that we need to be really careful this month, no expenditure except food hopefully.

A few surveys done and I've redeemed another £15 voucher for the Xmas fund, over £100 in there now which will certainly help get a few gifts. Nearly at balance for a small pay out for receipts snapped, might take longer than usual as not shopping as much at the moment.

Checked the birthday list for June, only my Dad's at the end of the month so will pay for that out of next month's wages. I need to update the birthday and anniversary list as I'm sure I miss a few.

Will update ynab when ds has finished his homework, I also want to do a debt repayment plan so I can see where we're at and how snowballing can help.

Hope you're staying safe and well, holiday makers have descended every though we're still closed in Wales!

  • All sounding good huggle (except the holiday makers, some people are muppets).
Hope you have a good bank holiday weekend xx

Morning all, not usually up at this time but heard dh get up for work and couldn't get back to sleep. Enjoying the quiet before the rest of the household awakens.

Lots of payments today which is fab, car payment and loan gone out which brings the total within touching distance of the £7ks amazing to be down to this and starting to feel that the end although still a way off is a last reachable. I will update again tomorrow when the loan balance refreshes.

DH bonus money is still sitting waiting ready for the car to be repaired but trying to hold out as long as possible, I still don't know when I'll be going back to work and certainly not face to face meetings for a while.

No annual bills due until August but need to figure out what to do with business insurance, I still haven't claimed back all I was owed from last year plus no sessions happening at the minute. I'll wait and see over the next few weeks.

Paid a small amount to the credit card from survey payment, I'll carry on doing this and anything else I can muster up!

Weather is dull today just when I have a full load of washing and I mentioned a virtual sports day for my club members, have a lovely day H x

Well I've done more in 2 days than I have in 2 weeks, amazing how the motivation returns when routine is getting back to normality! It's been lovely to have my cleaning routine back for a start and also did a couple of odd jobs that have been hanging around for months.

Loan payment has been revised and also had some survey money in so paid another £10 off the credit card yesterday, no payments yet today but need to catch up with surveys.

Busy day doing parents shopping plus went for a run with dh when he got home and then we cut the largest of the hedges at the front of the house, the garden waste bin is full now so will have to wait until Wednesday to do the other hedge.

DS and I went through his clothes and shoes to sort out what was too small, we have sent a bag of items to the family across the road who have younger boys. We made a list of what he needs and I've ordered some trainers for him already and will move the money from the bonus pot as this was intended to pay for it anyway plus we will be short with dh wages this month. He only needs a couple of t-shirts and some summer pyjamas which isn't too bad but waiting until dd goes through her clothes and then do an order together.

We've been doing well with food as we've been too hot to eat a meal so the other night we just had sausage sandwiches, yesterday I made chapatis to have as wraps with a bit of salad and tonight we're having pasta and sauce and a bit of garlic bread. I do need to do a menu this evening as it's shopping day tomorrow, might do a little BBQ as we already have the charcoal.

DH has mentioned that a couple of blokes at work will have a look at the car before we book it in to the garage, not sure when that will be but no hurry.

Hope all is well, H x

Good morning just popping on before dd gets her mitts on the laptop as she has an English assignment to finish, we've had a productive couple of days with running, gardening and dd sorted through her room and we have been able to pass on some t-shirts to ds therefore not needing to buy any and also she gave me lots of body spray that she doesn't use which again was handy as I ran out.

We've also gone through the kids books, some are on MM  ready to send after dh has gone through his books, also some on FB and will give the money to the kids as pocket money. I also have a pair of walking shoes that dd never wore so are brand new, her feet just grew so quickly before we were able to go out. If they don't sell on FB I will put on *bay.

A few little survey payments have been redeemed and paid off the credit card, the new statement will be out on 6th June so will wait until then then hopefully when I get paid I can get this down past the 3k barrier.

DH pay was £200 less then usual due to furlough so monitoring our spends carefully, I still have no news from work.

Please can everyone keep their fingers crossed as car has gone for repair and could really do with it not costing the earth for once!

Glad of the rain today, the garden definitely needs it.

Today will be spent sorting out the kitchen, need to pop down to the club as some members want to put in some equipment (keeping apart obviously) and that's about it.

Hope everyone is well, see you later H x
  • Morning Huggle, sounds as though everything is plodding along nicely, fingers crossed car doesn't cost too much xx
