When we go up to bed, the dog ( a large retriever) comes too. He usually sleeps on the floor in our bedroom, but after emitting the most atrocious wind:eek: seems to conclude "it stinks in here" and takes himself off to sleep somewhere else. A pet in the bedroom does take the edge of conjugal relations:o.
Our dog has a large soft dog bed which he likes but prefers the three sofa's (he is not supposed to go on them), and if we place obstacles on the seats he gets on and pushes them off.
We try to keep our cat in at night and pop her into the garage where she has sleeping places (various - especially likes a bed in the rafters) she has food, water and a litter tray. She would choose to roam freely and sleep on the beds but
a) she keeps tap dancing on our heads when she wants something
b) she puts her tail close your face and shows you her 'pencil sharpener'
c)she will climb out of any open windows and risk getting run over on our rural but fast road. Sadly the fate of her predecessors.
In one stable we have chickens who have to be put to bed to avoid Mr Fox, and in another stable a big heap of hay which is the sleeping quarters of the of the rabbit.

Jemima (Cat) has learnt to sit and beg for a treat, that I’m afraid is about it, she sleeps wherever she likes in HER house. Normally she will start off on the bedroom window ledge and then once she has seen that we are safely asleep she does what ever she fancies.

She does however have the annoying habit of sneaking in the bathroom whilst you’re in the shower/bath and sleeping in the exact spot where you need to step out, then looks at you with angry eyes when you dare to drip on her as you step over, lol:rotfl:
Pup is currently in a bed in the kitchen until he is fully house trained, then I imagine we will bring his bed into our room.:oAll comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

Rio sleeps on / in my bed. Quite often curls up behind me with his head on my shoulder.
Wilo is way too big to sleep on the bed even though she tries so she sleeps on the floor in the bedroom0 -
My cat sleeps on my bed and if you dare push him off he gets so grumpy and sits in his basket and meows until you let him on the bed again.
When I had 3 cats and a dog they all use to sleep on my bed.

I feel so much better about pup sharing our beds now
! He has a choice of 4, but usually alternates between my double or No1 offspring's 4'ter.
Once we are both up, he'll visit the other two offspring in their 3'ters till about 11:30  after first having a quick bite to eat & a comfort break! What on earth will he do if we all work the same hours?:rotfl: :rotfl:
BTW Fletcher, your photos could well have been taken in our house! I woke the other morning to see one huge black nose & one big brown eye looking through the crack twix duvet & pillow....& he's white too....
The iguana has her purpose-built vivarium under the stairs. We need to change her from a single to double-shelf bed because has to sleep in her dining room where she has grown so much:DFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

What a gorgeous cat!
I try not to let our two sleep with us, as Poppy drives me mad wanting me to stroke her to sleep and as soon as i stop stroking her she meows down my ear hole and tickles me with her whiskers! Marmalade on the other hand decides its a great time to hunt down anything and play..in other words jump all over the bed and scare the life out of me!
So they usually sleep in the hallway, in their own cat bed with a fleecy blanket to cuddle up in
They seem to like it there most the time, but now and then they sneek in and cuddle up on the bed (rare they calm down and actually sleep though!)
