Nigella Lawson does a wicked banana bread (pg.33 How to be a Domestic Goddess).
It's got sultanas soaked in rum which gives the house a really lovely smell and covers the smell of the overripe bananas required.
Would make some tomorrow as it's hubbys favourite however "Yes, we have no bananas"0 -

Its not "illegal" to take photographs in a store, its just that its private property(like your house) and shops have in the past got very paranoid about people walking around taking photos,in case its a newspaper following up a negative story,or a competitor using it for their own purposes.Even schoolkids walking around taking photos for a school project are likely to be challenged. It is just that the stores like to know why people are doing certain things on their property, which is fair enough.
If you are stopped from going about your business,eg when they blocked your
exit, "some " would define this as a form of detention, as it is taking away your freedom,or liberty. They were taking away your freedom to leave the shop. One definition of arrest is "taking or restraining a person from their liberty..so they can answer an alleged charge".Obviosly someone can only be arrested/detained when they have committed an offence.
What exactly were they stopping you from leaving for? Was the banana a famous banana who didnt want to photographed?0 -
The worry is that somewhere out there in the community is a civil rights protestor who is prepared to take a photograph of a banana  .........ummmm0

Thats what we get for being part of a 'banana public' ... sorry that is the best I could come up with at this time of the morning, try as I might I could figure out a way of getting a 're' in there.

Heres a petty thought.
Here's one for you, until the bag is paid for, it is the property of the store. If the OP rips the bag to remove an item from it then that is damaging someone elses property. Ergo criminal damageThe "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 10
