How did the bread turn out? I’m always falling asleep on the sofa! I love a new journal!1

Hi Missi moo! The sourdough bread was gorgeous but on my goodness it took sooo long to make. My non cooking partner ended finishing it off after the timings took longer and I couldn't stay awake!! Lol definitely will make again but need to start it earlier in the day as it needs a couple of 4hr sessions to let the dough to raise! I'm thinking of trying crumpets next week.
I love a good journal too!2025 financial goals & challenges!

Happy Sunday, I'm having a semi procrastination day. Been meaning to go for a run but not yet made it. I've got my running gear on so made a start lol.. phone needs charging is my excuse!
Friday night and yesterday morning I was really enjoying Normal People on iPlayer.
I've got a list of tasks I've been deliberately put off doing. I'll see how long I can avoid before my conscious of tells me to tackle.

Hi Missymoo I made it for my run, just in time for todays lot of rain to come down. I must admit though I have been pretty lazy (but also enjoying it too!). The guilt has kicked in a bit and I'm now on the computer. I need to look at my CV for tuesday but not really in the mood. I'm enjoying not thinking about work atm.2025 financial goals & challenges!

Today is a special day - its my son's birthday. He's only 4 and spending the day with his dad. This time last year we had a wonderful day at Legoland and it was hot. This year its a lot cooler and a more normal day. We had a mini party on the weekend just me and my ex and our partners and kids and it was nice. Shame the rest of the family couldn't join in but such as the current situation we are in. We are all happy and healthy though so that's what is important.
Today my credit card bill was paid in full (plus a bit extra from this months bill) - so that's a big tick. As we edge closer to the 13th of the month I am now looking at paying off 16% of my debt so farand instead of procrastinating again I am going to tackle some of the jobs I have been putting off as I know I'll feel a bit better & will go for a run too. Happy 8th June.

Last night I had a go at a new crafting activity which I think will become a firm favourite of mine. It was macrame, really good fun and quite a mindful activity so today I am going to order myself some more materials and have some fun. Birthday was fun yesterday for youngest and we enjoyed some cake. I have the kids later today so this morning I need to spend a bit of time printing off the work my eldest son's school has set him. I'd started this at the weekend but ran out of ink and will tackle a bit of the jobs I don't want to do.

Hello saturday, I have frankly had the third night of poor quality sleep which is really annoying as my diet has been on the up ie less sugar & crap food and this week's home schooling has been the best so far. I have quite a reluctant 7 yr old and it is testing at the best of times but we are muddling through and its equally been great to be able to focus a bit of learning with his brother. With the youngest we are learning a bit of phonics, learning the letters to write his own name etc all in a bit to help him come 'September'. I say 'September' as who knows what form September will take but I am hoping the older one gets to start yr 4 and the young one start reception and I can then get back into some kind of work but for now its home schooling and just enjoying the summer.
On finances front its the 13th of the month and I have managed to pay off the little bit of overdraft which was charging me interest. I have the First Direct account and the o/d was £134 & shrapnel into the paid part of it so I wanted to get that cleared before the banks unfreeze the o/d charges. I think this is the 3rd July? Anyway it wasn't costing me a lot but I just want to clean up my bank account. This still leaves me with £250 interest free o/d to pay off which I will continue to do.
Drum roll.....! So current debt overall has shrunk by 17% and in monetary terms this is a debt reduction of £1812.79 since the beginning of 2020! Which I am chuffed about. I get one more pay in the nightmare job and then its the murky world of benefits (yuk) and job hunting again but needs must in the current climate. Debt payback (and general expenditure) will therefore be choppy for next few months. Under no illusions that this will be easy thoughanyway trying to not think about it too much.
Next batch of sour dough starter has been started this morning - i'd really like to make pizza dough with it and let the kids make their own pizzas. I am trying to learn crochet crash course for monday?! eeek you tube.
