Happy May bank holiday, its Saturday afternoon and I can't keep my eyes open. I might just have to go for a nap. Im currently kid free and enjoying the bit of free time.
So diary was last updated end of April and life wasn't great. I'd had the stress of resignation and job. I managed to hold on to my job for a few more days but on weds I had my probation review meeting and absolutely no surprise to me I didn't pass. In a way I am really gutted and in a way I am relieved. Bully boss wasn't for me. I was completely surprised when I found out I had to work my notice. So I am now in the one month left to work. Really have no motivation but I wont turn down pay either. I won't be able to find work until the school situation resolves itself so earliest will be September and then who knows. I am clinging on to a hope that I can get a temporary Christmas job! So in the next week or so I am going to sit down again and review my budget. I'm pretty lean on this already but will see if there is anything I can do. Living frugally for the past few years has in this situation helped as I am not feeling as stressed as I imagine other families are who've not been in this position before. My main goal is to focus on using my bit of savings to carry on paying down the debt while not letting me climb back into debt which was happening before I started this job.2025 financial goals & challenges!

That sounds stressful having to work out your notice, I hate doing that as it's hard to stay motivated. Good luck with finding a new job in September/thereafter.3

Just do the minimum expected. You're being paid without the pressure now. Something will turn up for you. Sending a hug x3

Where has the sun gone? I'm sure it was here this morning
I must confess that with all the job stress I just gave up on home schooling and left them to play. My eldest is pretty reluctant learner at the best of times and it is such a shame about the situation we are in as he was making good strides at school and I just haven't had the time. So with this in mind I am trying to get a bit organised today and we've done one of the activities set by school. I've also been for a run and made a start on plans to upgrade my computer. One of the positives I want to take away from my job was working on a laptop with windows 10. Actually quite like it and will stand me in good stead having the latest software so with that in mind I have been sorting out my disorganised photo files and backing everything up to one drive. I have cancelled one minor subscription which isn't an essential and another one for a craft beer pack which also has to go. I'm now debating whether to cancel my you tube subscription too as that will save me £12 per month. Its not much but as it will soon be coming out of my savings it might have to go temporarily.2025 financial goals & challenges!

The sun has returned although it is pretty chilly outside. Last night my partner and I were needing a bit of exercise and we walked and walked and returned two hours later! Couldn't believe the time when we looked at the clock and it was 8.10pm! Walk was good and we discovered a bit of the green chain walk we didn't know existed.
Tomorrow is my accounts review day and its looking good. Although with impending job loss this isn't great but hey ho I am trying not to worry (but I do). Last year I was studying accountancy from home and my membership is now up for renewal. I didn't really get into the study as much as I'd like to do as I was so focused on getting a job but I think i'd be silly not to to pick up my studies again and give it another go. I bought all the books its just on me to dedicate the time to it. I think this will be a good thing to focus on once the job ends.

Resuming your accountancy studies sounds like a plan, especially as you have the resources at home.
It would be a shame for them to go to waste and you will be increasing your skill set.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Good Morning, Its the 13th May and my favourite day of the month,
I am pleased to report I have now paid off £1452.87 of my £10569.02 debt to date, smashing the previous month's amount so i'm heading for 2k to pay off. This is a 13.75% reduction! My savings have increased a bit too which will help me out this summer as I can't see me working until the autumn:# . Updated debt chart for a bit of fun!
