Taxed car abandoned in my parking space - Can't rent out flat until it is removed!!

I would either break the window, release the handbrake and park it on the street, making it the council's problem, or if you don't want to break the window, then get as many friends as possible and bounce the car onto the road so the council have to deal with it (probably when the tax runs out!).
In the meantime, you could paint it a pretty colour, and put a sign saying "steal me" on it!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I would write to the DVLA and ask for the address of the owner as it is trespass if that space is in your contract as belonging to your flat.

Then again you can usually tow a parked car pretty easily if it's smooth tarmac.
However, I'd advise trying to trace the owner first, via DVLA.Happy chappy0 -

I would ask all members of the flat, and then if its not there, drag it off the space onto the road.
If its all legal then its good..
Check if its in gear, and if its not you could just lift the rear end to move it etc..0 -
Jack it up and put some baking trays underneath the wheels. Will make it a lot easier to move elsewhere!
Or torch the !!!!!!!0 -
I would say that you have made reasonable effort to track the owner, and now you want the space back.
If it means calling in a recovery man to move it for a small cost then do so, that way you cannot be liable for any costs if there was any damage to the car.
Though, if one night the car was in the space, then the next it was not there but down the road, im sure no one will bat an eye lid at it...
Nothing seen, no proof..0 -
Take legal advice - go see the CAB.0
