    Hi Sunday Savers,
Just caught up with everybody's posts, as been busy with guests all weekend. Swung into action as soon as we'd waved everyone off:
*Stripped guest beds & laundered bed linen so as to make use of such a good drying day.
    *Leftovers for lunch.
*Will also use leftovers for dinner.
    *Finish leftover cava.
    *Picked more courgettes & tomatoes.
*Two baths from one lot of hot water.
*Knit current project - a Christmas present, & a large one. Still having to concentrate atm as it's 3 colours on circulars over a 30 row repeat pattern. Not at all difficult, but it's one of those patterns where a cheeky little mistake would be very visible (& would annoy me immensely).
    *Updated my dfw diary.
*Plan a low spend (preferably free) outing tomorrow as Mr F is on leave.
*Put some lovely gifted magazines away to take on our camping trip, which will save me buying any.
*Started using tried & tested coffee stirrer method again this morning, to get the last bit of foundation out of its bottle. I think I can get at least another 3 days out of it, maybe even a week if I don't ladle it on with a trowel.
*All free leisure today as have read my book outside in the garden & will watch the final episodes of a Scandi crime drama tonight.
    *Greenhouse veg watered.
I'd really love to have a very frugal & productive week next week.
Cheers all..... & love to all those of you who are feeling a bit rubbish atm.

    Hi all

DS1 and GF stayed at our house last night after the family BBQ. GF was at work at 6am and DS at 8am so we got woken up very early and I am tired and grumpy. I love them both but I am slightly hoping that I dont see them for a week or two!

So to cheer me up DH suggested a trip to the seaside - £10 on ice-creams and parking but it was worth it. Going to have toasted sandwiches for tea, do my plan for the week, watch a bit of telly, and get a very early night.

Hope you are OK clf. I am anxious at the moment too and it just takes the shine off everything.

    Hello :)
Sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish CLF :( Hope you perk up soon.
    Today's small things:
Collected together all receipts and updated spending diary.

Fed tomatoes, basil and French bean pots
    Picked tomatoes and more beans
Load of washing, hoping for a fine day tomorrow - random heavy showers today.

Made sweet and sour for dinner, and earned the undying gratitude of OH and my brother by also making a microwave 'steamed' sponge treacle pudding :rotfl:Had the sweet and sour with half-baked potatoes instead of rice (as I had some potatoes that needed using) and HG beans on the side.
Roasted some HG tomatoes while the oven was on for the potatoes. Must put through mouli and check seasoning to make roasted tomato sauce, which keeps for ages in the freezer :)

Shopping list for cleaning stuff and toiletries (don't use many different types of either, thinking more things like washing powder, dishwasher tablets, loo rolls etc). Decided to stock up a bit with winter round the corner etc.
Packed an ebay item as the buyer has at last paid :T
  • Lots of love to you CLF - I can relate to those feelings for sure. It's hard when stuff is all just a bit much, and I hope that the feelings pass soon.
Foxgloves - I had a little smile at one of your jobs for the day being to finish the leftover cava :D
I'm not saying much because I'm in a bit of a carp mood myself and I much prefer ranting on my diary. DS is ill again - he has tonsillitis, but he's plodding on through.
