Morning all
Not a great night's sleep, but I was determined to get on a bit this morning, so I have:
HG berries for breakfast
Cleaned dishwasher as it wasn't washing some things properly
Did washing up by hand
Put out recycling
A few small jobs in the garden before it rained (it is now)
Curry out of freezer for dinner later
Picked more yellow raspberries - no red ones yet (I grow the autumn kind) but loads of yellow ones! Froze the ones left over from yesterday. Wonder what yellow raspberry jam looks like? I usually mix them with red ones for jam, which then just looks like raspberry jam....
Picked and cooked a few multi coloured beetroot - didn't want to grow just boring red ones, so I have pink ones, stripy ones and white ones as well.
Cleaned bathroom and put some stuff away
Ordered prescription
Now another coffee needed!
Still to do:
Hoovering - though OH muttered about doing this :cool: OH did it :T
A bit of ironing Done
Make a cake of some kind, apple cake maybe... Apple cake it was. Used up 4 not very nice apples from the fruit bowl
Pay window cleaner, as he came while we were away. Annoyingly they only did the front of the house, as the back gate was locked, but still billed me for full price for cleaning basically 3 not very big windows and the front door glass. Will need to have a word. I don't think that the not very bright or obliging young guys that work for him do a very good job anyway. Might need to change. Used to be good, but he farms the work out now to min wage people who just don't careThey are going to try to get to us to do the back asap... apparently!
Sort freezer, as I have an Icyland delivery coming later :eek::eek: Done
Sorted out some stuff for the charity shop
Sold an ebay item
Ordered new carbon monoxide alarms (not money saving, but with a gas boiler and a wood burning stove, it makes sense!)

Ok so found a flea on the little white dog on Wednesday, so have now treated dog vacuumed and sprayed the whole house hopefully that will do it. Will get more treatment from vet next month.
I've got HM bread in the oven, 4 small loaves, 3 for the freezer and one for me.
Between showers:
- meadow hour
- walk the little white one
- go for a run - although still feeling tired, is this a slight anticipation of going back to work next week and possibly taking on new role and new work pattern?
I didn't manage to do anything outdoors.
Inside in the meantime:
- put small set of shelving on back of my desk, for keeping actual desk tidy. It might work.
- Start to tidy boxes on landing
- Do something creative
Am still having curtain crisis .. don't want to put old ones back up but even cheap new curtains is not really possible right now.
Took my ancient sewing machine to repair shop and had to pay £20 deposit probably to find out that it can't be repaired - but you never know.
Hope everybody is enjoying a bit of indoorness or feeling adventurous outdoors.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Afternoon all!
Miserable weather here, as I'm sure it is most places!
Today I have/will:
* Squeeze out toothpaste tube
* Make CC payment
* Shift money received from PA from paypal to account
* Check PA/ OP for surveys (not a sniff of one so far today!)
* Pay money into bank
* Little shop for tea for next few evenings (failed yesterday as didn't have anything planned then got stuck in awful traffic and couldn't then be bothered to cook = takeaway!)
* Pay money into bank
* Snap receipt
* Gym at lunch
* Look for any deals for paddleboarding for next week
* Charge phone at work
* Brave the weather and go for a short walk to earn sweatcoins! Even if I don't end up using them, it's definitely making me walk more as I very sedentary job so struggle to even do 5k normally!
* Cook dinner!
* Take mince out of freezer for tomorrow's dinner
* Wash face with flannel
Think that's everything! Hope you're all having a good Friday!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,935.00
Total paid off - £9,665.89 (61% paid off)0 -
Woke up far too early this morning with a stinking headache which has hung on for a lot of the day so I have done very little. However I have finally finished the giant crochet blanket which I'm most relieved about. I now urgently need to start looking for items to make for Christmas presents... Time is ticking on.
Have also kept up with decluttering, and bagged a nsd (thanks to the weather being so miserable that nobody wanted to leave the house).
Not much else to report at all - a LOT of crochet and a massive blanket (which isn't even mine)Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Well I suppose today was more about earning money than debt busting. I am studying for exams which will eventually give me a small pay rise but not getting on very well, so I am now trying to do my weekly hours Monday to Thursday and study on a Friday. I also get a study allowance for each hour I spend studying so although its hard its worth it.
Out for tea, treated by DH for our wedding anniversary tomorrow. Not had time to do anything else today so it was a NSD. Bedtime now.0 -
Morning
day 2 out of 3 for this week. I have a beach of a shift pattern over this 2 weeks as only have Monday off and then back again for 3 days. To top it off I'm a bit unwell again so that makes me a bit unstable at work - embarrassingly I kept getting tearful yesterday. Oh well just try today to keep it together!
Today:
* quick shower
* all meals from stores - I wasn't very hungry yesterday so still have yesterday's food
* take my accounts book and if nothing to do will work out cc statement
* print off a pattern
* have folded and put away washing
* will descale the shower door before going to work
* ask oh to vacuum d/s
* update my mileage & expenses
* do some sewing tonight - need to do things that make me happy & lift my spirits
* make a list of bits madam needs for school
Ok that's all. Have a lovely day guys xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all :hello: we’re away for a few days so just doing things like quick vacuum through and flylady of bathroom and kitchen before we go.
I’ve emptied what little was left in the fridge and have some snacks for the journey. Will take a hot drink with us and some refillable water bottles.
I’ve hung up some washing I did overnight.
I’ve also checked banking (just to double check money shuffle from last night) and picked all ripe fruit.
We’ve got our annual membership passes with us and intended to use those whilst away.
Dnms hope you are feeling better. Wish you were nearer, you could teach me to sew. I really want to make a blind. Will maybe do some research whilst I’m away online.0 -
Morning all
Hope you are ok DNMS
Woke up feeling a bit headachey this morning, hope it goes away as DD is bound to come round with the kids later :cool:
Today's plans:
Kitchen clear up Done
Round up items from fridge for meals, various bits need using up, and I won't be wasting them! I have however taken a big tub of carrot and lentil soup from the freezer as there will probably be several of us for lunch. Done
Find a box for the charity shop stuff I have sorted out and put the items in it, in the garage where they can easily be transferred to the car when I next go out. At the moment they are scattered round several rooms. Done, and as I had another small errand to do, I put it in the car and took it to the CS, so now it has gone :T
Beans will need picking later, also possibly tomatoes, raspberries and a few blueberries. And courgettes! Hpw could I forget those :rotfl:
Invoice an ebay buyer who hasn't paid Done
Pack item when / if they pay Still not paid.
DD came with kids as expected. They are difficult at the moment, as the little one wants me to hold / carry him all the time, and GD wants me to 'do' things with her. Ended up making and decorating cakes with baby in one arm. Then got lunch, and we all walked into town and back. Not going to be late to bed!
Not a very ambitious list today, but hope to add to it as I go along!0 -
Hi gang :wave:
Purps - have a good time away
CCL - Hope the headache has gone. Same for you DNMS - hope you feel better soon
Yorkshire - sounds good about the study allowance so definitely well worth keeping at it
Dawn - Have fun with the family today
Would you believe it...?! Little one has just started grumbling for her breakfast just as I've sat down to type. :rotfl: She's been sitting watching me like a little angel for the past half hour! But not now I have a coffee and hoping to catch up with you. :rotfl:
Anyway, I'll catch up later.0 -
Morning, may I jump in, been a long time since I was on the forums but I need to bust debt again.
Today I will:
Take the kids swimming and to soft play to use our monthly membership. I've packed lunch so I don't need to buy expensive food.
OH is sleeping off his overtime night shift, he discovered they will pay double time through the holidays for the o/time so win win.
Must use the resolver tool to finally make a ppi claim tonight.
Check and update banks
Wasing out drying on the line.
Starting slowly. Looking forward to getting to know you all.
