Morning purps :D good luck with the jam! I need to get things to pickle some beetroot today as I don't want it to go to waste!

La E I looked into The organised mum method. I love it! I've long known you are a woman after my own heart when it comes to house organisation - we both desperately want it, but struggle. Started the boot camp yesterday and the lounge looks great :D

    today:

    * TOMM bedrooms :D
[STRIKE]* load of washing in and will hang out [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* confirm with bff what our plans are this evening, times etc, as we are planning a jog along the seafront :D[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* once I have that information let my other friend know I'll drop her kiddo back to her - instead of her coming here to collect as they live near each other[/STRIKE]
    * continue with top. I just need to insert elastic & hem :D
    * all meals from stores
    * think I'll make a batch of chilli, bean & chocolate soup for the week at work ahead
    * call dentist now to get referral to sedation clinic now I've had my ecg
    * went to the SM on way back from hospital. Spent £12 on GC for the week :D and treated madam to a magazine - so now today will be a home/park/walk/friend day ;)
    * drop big bag of decluttered items to cs
    * have a bath - I couldn't bath for 24 hours because of the contraption. I can't remember the last time I had a bath but the moment I was told I couldn't, I wanted one more than anything on earth! Madam will jump in my water ;)
    * sorted through items oh is throwing out. Took out 3 t-shirts, 1 to scale down for me and 2 to make madam nighties and kept hoody to extract zip :money:

    Ok that's all I want/need to do. Happy Tuesday y'all x

    Hello there frugalistas

Me and baby girl are not being frugal today as we're off to 'spensive baby cinema, but it comes with a tea and cake included for me so kinda makes the cinema cheap...right?! Also meant to be going out for lunch on Thursday with my team from work...so that will be this week's expenses. Nothing planned for the weekend.

DNMS - aw, glad you like TOMM! :D I've been thinking about it/doing half @rsed for a while but last week I committed and by Friday I was so chuffed with the place. Had extra motivation last week as we had people coming round on Friday, so I wonder if I'll keep up the pace this week. :rotfl: Don't know why I found it better than flylady but I do love a tick list. :D

CLF - know what you mean about the crazy weather! I went out with my waterproof coat on yesterday and it was v uncomfortable with the sun blazing down on me!

    Here's me:
    - Leftover pizza for lunch :D - I bought the pizza in asda yesterday and it had a rollback/"prices will stay rolled back at £3.50" sticker on it but then the label with the barcode said £3.75! Gosh, did that 25p annoy me after I noticed it when I got home?! :rotfl:
    - Leftover chicken for dinner
    - REALLY need to call mortgage peeps tonight!!
    - Someone is coming round to buy something I'm selling for £10. I bought it for £10 and used it a few times so seems like a good deal to me. :D Love FB marketplace for getting rid of baby stuff. :T
    - Using a discount code to get BIL's bday pressie

Think that's all my frugal goings on...

    Morning all!

    Today I have/will:
    Do washing up
Squeeze out toothpaste tube (think it's now done but OH has already moved onto another one, so will do the same process on the new old one!)
Wah on 30 degree eco wash
    Take lunch to work
    Update spreadsheet
    Snap receipt
    Check PA/OP for surveys
    Go to gym at lunch
Research pear recipes as we have a pear tree in our garden and I always promise I'll do something with them and each year they go to waste!
    Hang washing on airer
    Dinner from stores
Walk to ensure earn max sweatcoins today
Wash face with flannel rather than products

That's all I can think of for now. Hope you all have a good day!

    Hi August Austerity-Fans,

This post is bought to you from a wee hostel in Lanarkshire. I had an extra day off work so we splashed out £35 for a night away somewhere scenic.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Five:

    * Check online banking. Done.

    * Hostel unexpectably came with free towel loan and WiFi in the lounge. Bargain.

    * Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. I'm up to 304/500. Walked.

    * We've bought homemade chilli with us for dinner and all our drinks and snacks so we won't need to buy any food. Will nom soon.

    * Tomorrow we can use the fancy pool/jacuzzi/sauna in the expensive hotel next door for £5.

    Mini apricot crumble and ice-cream?

    Add to a curry?

Black pudding freezes fine. As for the apricots, why not stew them gently with a bit of sugar or sweetener (remove the stones before or after) and add a crumble topping? Yum!

Ta both, I shall be a-crumbling tonight as supper is somewhat spare :rotfl: BP is in freezer for next weekend, along with two english muffins and a batch of bolognese.

Tried to renew my library books to avoid fines, but one is reserved so I have to get it finished before Friday now! Renewed the other one and since I have to go in this week I'll return the one I've finished.

    DFW-ing happening today:
    - found a lost £20 in my trousers
    - got an order cancelled, just waiting for the 30-odd-quid to arrive back in my bank
    - decided I shall send back one of the (two!) pairs of work shoes I bought, they have a weird synthetic lining which is not remotely breathable. Most uncomfortable. As they were in the sale they might not accept the return but I shall try.
    - Lucrative job offer arrived today, not sure I *really* want the job but the money is great...

    My list for yesterday:
Cycle to documentation meeting for new 2. agency job that I was hoping to start this holiday, so seemed a bit pointless, as I'm back to work next week.
Complete some detailing in my bedroom
    • - tidy up paint stuff in bedroom
    • - move furniture back in place
    • - prop up bed - it's a bit broken, but hoping it'll last an other while
    • - wash sheets for a fresh start
    • - [STRIKE]hem up curtains to not cover radiator[/STRIKE] - but decided curtains are nasty and will go to market tomorrow to look for some material to make some instead, have covered window w left over material in meantime
    • - sleep in my own bed
    • tidy up house after days of unrest between car trouble, decorating and ds being quite unwilling to do anything unless bribed w food.
    • work for an hour on clearing 'meadow' that have appeared between worn tiles in front garden (this happens every year)
    • lunch and dinner from stores
    • NSD day - love a good nsd day because it means the balance in my bank account is the same as the available amount, hate waiting for things to clear.

    List for tomorrow:
    • Buy birthday gift for niece
    • Send other gift/card birth b'days are past - I'm not good at this
    • bake a cake
    • meadow hour
    • vacuum
    • check website and update
    • email work about new work pattern
    • walk with nice neighbour
    • go to running club social problem here is that I will need to ride 6,5 miles each way - then go for a 5 m run - then BBQ - I might see if I can get a lift!
    • continue to tidy up and declutter landing and small bedroom
    • well just a tinsy little list I might dedicate next Sunday to the couch/garden or just un-productivity in general - before going back to work on Monday.

    Morning all :hello:

Hope everyone is well. This week is going very quickly! My list for today:

Buy some lemon juice, yesterdays jam re make was a success so I’ve made another batch ready to boil with the last of the ys fruit but have no lemon. Have covered and put in fridge
Triage fridge, froze some hot dogs
Found a portion of leftover pasta in freezer for lunch
Have been paid the £55 cash back I chased for a policy I took out a year ago. Paid to 1p fund, less than £20 to go to year end target
    Check for surveys
Claim free drink on way to work before it expires
Hung washing done overnight on airer

Right must get on, another busy day at work awaits.

    Purps.
