Morning all!
1LL - I hope your son still manages to have a good holiday despite the mishap.
Lovely, low spend weekend! Here's hoping my new attitude continues this week!
Today I have/ will:
Do washing up
Squeeze out "old" toothpaste tube
Take lunch to work
Go to free gym class (now can't move my arms!)
Put money into bank
Update spreadsheets with weekends spends
Sort out CC log in details
Check for OnePoll surveys
Check for Prolific surveys
Give tortoises a bit of garden time (and switch off lamp whilst they're not in their pen!)
Cook dinner
That's everything I can think of for now. Hope you all have a good Monday!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,935.00
Total paid off - £9,665.89 (61% paid off)0 -
Many thanks for starting us off 1LL. Sorry to hear about DS arm. That's just sods law before a holiday. Really hope u all have a good time and it's not too much of a setback.
CLF I hope ex colleague doesn't make ur life too hellish. Real life is hard at the best of times, never mind throwing in hellish ex colleagues
DNMS I hope everything goes okay with the ecg and that u get the tooth sorted-nothing worse
Have has a rough couple of days, think I overdid it with the new fridge freezer. DD cleaned all of the floor ready and I'm embarrassed by the foods that did get thrown out. Some foods did defrost despite our best efforts to keep them frozen but DD has been bulk cooking them up.
Frustrating the oven has already scratched the ff. When we were opening the door wide to get the shelves out of the ff we didn't realise one of the oven door catches was catching the paint work. Frog magnet now placed over scratch and to cushion the door from the catch but it is nice to have a new ff
This morning
* banking all checked-everything good
*quidco checked
* I am definitely going to deal with a couple of frogs today
* I have been accepted back onto the RM main survey starting next month and start the unaddressed today
*need to parcel up presents-have recycled packaging for these.
*rest up
Can't think of anything else.
. Have a good day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

DNMS, hope the ecg / dentist all go ok
HK, take care, it sounds as though you are overdoing things a bitFrustrating I know!
Ally, good riddance to that storage unit!
Twiggy, my OH will never finish off items such as toothpaste either. So annoying - but why??
Ziggy, hope your DS enjoys his course
((Hugs)) to everyone else
Working this morning, as my sales unit needed restocking, so labelling up items, loading up car and unpacking at the other end. Not much sold last week unfortunately, so I brought quite a lot back with me. Now all put away thoughBought a couple of things while there, which I don't usually do. Useful things as opposed to antiquey things though, a pair of brand new trainers for £8 (one of the other dealers had bought them, they didn't fit and they didn't bother to return them, so put them for sale in the shop on the off chance. Luckily they fit me
), and some nice soaps, unused and still in packaging obviously, which had come from a house clearance.
Other things:
HG blueberries for breakfast - still a few more left to pick
Checked banks and updated spending diary / spreadsheet
Lunch from home
Paperwork for business done
Checked RM surveys stuff, I am currently doing the unaddressed mail survey, and have received hardly any of the items supposed to have been delivered by RM. The postman / woman seems to have hardly delivered anything over the last few weeks. Not sure what is going on.
Still to do:
Some housework (plenty to choose from...)
Dinner to cook
Pick beans, raspberries and blueberries
Finish cofffee, then must get on!0 -
Hi will read above later but car trouble continued
... my clutch is under warranty :money:
... I'm getting a local tow guy to take car to dealership 25 miles away £70 - R** 85+£2 per mile, so saving about £40-50 :money::money::money:
So that's £2-300 staying in my account.
And went for a swim this morning and got a discount because I'm a member of the running club.
Happy days,

Hello again, spendy mcspendypants here
I was doing so well (got rid of an entire debt) but my phone broke beyond repair and a pair of work shoes broke too so that was a green light to spend, spend, spend. When. Will. I. Learn.
So I find myself with 8 days left of my month and £31.54 left
Still, done a meal plan today and I think we have enough in stores to do suppers this week – just need a few bits for lunches and then weekend breakfasts. Does black pudding freeze ok?
Also, any ideas what I can do with 6 overripe apricots?0 -

Black pudding freezes fine. As for the apricots, why not stew them gently with a bit of sugar or sweetener (remove the stones before or after) and add a crumble topping? Yum!0 -
Yay, sofa time! Managed to get a good bit done today:
*Picked more courgettes, tomatoes & beans.
*Baked a sourdough loaf.
*Leftovers for lunch.
*Froze assorted leftovers for future use.
*Did rubber pork. Second meal from it tonight, enough for another one tomorrow & the remainder frozen for use in a stew.
*Dealt with my Grimsby fish order. All divvied up into portions & frozen. Trimmings boxed & frozen for a future fish pie, too.
*Made smoky tomato chutney from our homegrown tomatoes.
*Made apple & ginger chutney from gifted apples.
*Finished the socks I've been knitting for a gift. Love the yarn, but I do need to gift them & not keep them for myself.
*Ordered the yarn to knit a Christmas present. Could not use eiither of the sites where I found it 20p per ball cheaper as one didn't have sufficient stock of the main colour, & the other didn't have one of the other colours at all. Can't be helped.
*Did 4 loads of laundry, inc one overnighter on cheaper tariff. All pegged out & dried for free.
*Made tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Cashed out of Ipsos for another £5 voucher.
*Changed bed linen & it was good to get it washed & dried the same day.
Slobbing out tonight. My hands are stiff from peeling & chopping all those apples, so no more jobs today.
*Cat no longer being fooled by us mixing the biscuits he likes with the ones he thinks are the spawn of Satan. They will not be wasted.... we will just sneak them in a teaspoon at a time.
Oh well m'duck, that's me done,

Morning frugal pals. Am currently re-boiling my jam as it didn't set yesterday. Felt way to runny from the start, we'll see if it's any better today. Positive of it all is my kitchen smells yummy for the second day on the trot :T in other news:
Expenses have been paid and moved money to just for points credit card
Must claim some more expenses today
Check banking
Check for surveys
Ys prawns out of freezer for tea
Rustle up a packed lunch
Hot drink for commute
Put away 4 loads of washing I managed to wash and dry yesterday :T no ironing required. Even better.
Have a good day all Purps.0
