I find paragraph 4 a bit confusing
So does the lease give you the right to park in these two "extra bays"
Have you got express permission from the leaseholder to park in these bays? If so, in what form?
Does their tenancy agreement permit parking in these bays?
I think (?) you are a tenant of a Housing Association? If so, what does your tenancy agreement say precisely about parking? Have you, for instance, got your own allocated bay?
It might be me - and it being late but I am struggling with the actual situation. You say early in that these bays were for visitors and tradesmen but, it appears, you have been parking in them0 -
If i sort para 4 out according to my lease is it ok0

Depends what your lease actually says - and how you explain it. Does it give you the right to use these two extra bays? Does it mention permits? Have you got your own parking? Etc etc
And why were you using visitors bays?
It "sounds like" there has been abuse of the visitors bays which is why the HA bought in permits for those spaces.
I think you need to explain the whole parking situation rather more clearly before we can comment on your draft.0 -
i am in a shared ownership property and the housing association have still a share in my house.
The bays are for the housing association residents and visitors
And tradesmen do use them so do i.
But the housing association instructed a private parking firm to ticket if anyone parks without a permit.
We never received any permit before they instructed this firm nor any warning.0 -
Yes we have our own parking but we use the extra bays if space for parking is required, and every resident has been using when needed for the past 18yrs.
The lease mentions nothing about permits or parking at all0 -
The bays have a large sign infront saying
Parking for residents of housing association0 -
Do you have to have a permit for your own allocated parking? Is that not mentioned in the lease? I guess it might be a garage/driveway?0
-
No we dont and we never needed a permit0
-
It is a driveway0
