You really must be clear with everything your write.5th august 2019
I am going to assume that that is the Issue Date on your Claim Form. Please confirm.
With a Claim Issue Date of 5th August, you have until Tuesday 27th August to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox file linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread. About ten minutes work - no thinking required.
Having done the AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 9th September 2019 to file your Defence.
That's over four weeks away. Loads of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:-
Print your Defence.
- Sign it and date it.
- Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
- Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
- Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
- Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
- Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure.
- Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.
Also in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread is full guidance on how to create a winning Defence and links to many examples of winning Defences.0 - Sign it and date it.

Virtually all your questions are answered in the stickies, please thoroughly read them.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so also consider complaining to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Depends if you follow our instructions or notOk
I'll search on that when i get home.
Just another question wouldnt the courts order me to pay up if i dont file a defence within 14days.
We asked for the issue date for good reason
Doing what we said and following the instructions by KeithP gives you extra time as he said, with a deadline date
Failing to follow the claim instructions will result in a default CCJ
Ditto for failing the deadlines
And failure will lead to the CCJ
Hence why we tell people what to do, and when0 -
Thank u for the info.
yes 5th august is the claim form date.0 -
hi
Thank u every1 for the info
I have been trying to register as an individual on the mcol website as in the NEWBIES thread.
I have tried for the last 2days, but the Register as an individual box isn't on the page.
I thought its probably going through maintenance but still no luck.
Does anyone have any other ideas how to register as an individual, or if the website address has changed.0 -
Have you got your government gateway account first?0
-
There is no issue with the moneyclaim website at all..i used it fine this morning.
Register as requested using gov. Website etc etc0 -
The registering yellow boxes arent there
In the newbies it states to register as an individual in the yellow box
But the three yellow boxes at the bottom of the page isnt there
I can get on the mcol website but cant register0 -
Create an account on the government gateway .gov website first
Then go to mcol and use the mcol reference
Try a different browser too, like Firefox or opera, and use a laptop0 -
Finally got there..0
