What methods have they stated for the serving of legal documents? If they accept email then fine ... if they've only specified post then that's what you have to do.

Other's with hands-on experience may be along shortly to confirm or otherwise.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

They haven't given any directions in that
  • Well they have by definition. Service is by post unless *explicitly* permission is given for service by email
    However
If Gladrags have served any docs on YOU by email, then you can do the same in return. Its hard for them to object.
The rules for service are of course in teh CPRs.

I rung the courts they advised i can do it by either.
    But which is best
  • The courts wrong. The CPRs are clear on this point. You can only serve by emai lif permission has been given
Answer the question - did gladrags say yes or no to emai lservice? Check any communication you have from them on this. Did they send YOU docs by email? Yes or no
If you answer No, Yes then you can send via email
    If not, post
Email is obviously £FREE to you so is better in that respect. Either way you MUST retain some proof of sending

You can send it by whatever means they allow.  If they have accepted service by e-mail before and they have sent documents to you by e-mail  that is OK
