Hi
Am drafting out my witness statement
But it is similar to my defence other than just adding my lease and pictures of signs showing its residents parking
Would this be a problem0 -
Also i requested my spouses claim to be consolidated in 1 claim
But the judge refused saying its a different party0 -
Your witness statement (WS) is in support of your defence as already filed. It is a narrative and is written in the first person and is your story of what happened on the day and subsequently. Whatever you say in your WS and what you said in your defence can now be backed up with evidence, for example, if you refer to the lease in your defence, you write in your WS how the lease gives you permission to park there or primacy of contract or whatever you said and you include the lease as evidence.Ruby82 said:Hi

If you look at the NEWBIE sticky 2nd post you will find some examples of witness statements that you can use as a basis for format and style.1 -
I am quite terrified going to court is there any help or support i can get.

If you are in Sussex then me and ParkingMad accompany people. I speak for them if they want me to, as their lay rep. You can take a confident friend with you as your lay rep, or just to sit beside you & help organise your thoughts & evidence.Ruby82 said:I am quite terrified going to court is there any help or support i can get.
It's not terrifying at all. A formal meeting, a bit like Judge Rinder, only you sit at a table with water to drink, no standing in a dock! More like a job interview - dress smartly.
Get there early as you have to go through security and sign in.
You each take turns to say your piece and point to what you think are your main evidence points and images, and the Judge then sums up. They are friendly and are used to people feeling scared.
Search the forum for hearing tips, if you can work out how to search this forum and not the whole of MSE (I can't work it out, can't do it any more!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I will have to attend myself because i dont have anyone who can rep for me..
Thank u for offering help..1 -
The easiest way I have found to do a simple search of the Parking Board is:
1) Go to the Parking Board thread index page - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/parking-tickets-fines-parking
2) Click on the 'magnifying glass' that can be found either top right or bottom right of that page:
3) type what you are looking for in the resultant box:
4) the important thing is that that method only searches the Parking Board.
5) I've not worked out anything more complicated yet.3 -
