I can't laugh too much because my hangover hurts.
Busy all day yesterday prepping for my divorce party - I have some very flaky friends indeed, but apparently it's not uncommon for people to drop out last minute. I must be the only one moaning about it. Anyway, my fantastic friends turned up and we had a great night. I'm amazed I've survived because I was drunk and it was mighty hot last night.
Minimal stuff done today - lots of napping on my new sofa which was delivered at 7.30 this morning of course!
Dealt with the broadband engineer as well who says there's nothing wrong with my broadband. He basically switched it off and on again and it's worked since - not when I've been doing that.
Picked up dd's blazer from dry cleaners (wasn't confident enough to attempt washing it but it was only £6) and dropped off ds trousers to be taken up (that is expensive - wish I could do it) and braved Mr S for the kids. I brought home so much leftover buffet food that I don't need to meal plan for the short term. It's all in the freezer whether it can be frozen or not.
So for being sick with a hangover I've done ok actually. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Ccl - lucky you're not back at work tomorrow, then! I can't believe I return in August !!
Anyhow, today I am grateful for a much cooler day, that I mowed the grass yesterday (as it rained today!), for dd having a great playdate, for dusting off the wii, for dd telling me that she reckons she'll enjoy secondary school, for needlefelting an elephant (a very small one though), for yummy sausages for tea, for inputting all the term dates and hospital dates for all 3 of us (all at different establishments and all under consultants for different conditions!) for the academic year.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hi all, busy yesterday at FT job all day and PT job in the eve. Was hoping to claim a NSD but spent £3 dropping off DD2 and boyfriend at airport at lunchtime. Today have called at Mr M on way home from work & bought DD2 a winter duvet for £8 and a bamboo mug for a friend' s birthday for £2 plus a few supplies - had a £5 off voucher too:). Made veg hotpot for tea with enough for DD1 and I tomorrow too.
Gratitudes - no rain this eve so could go for a walk; bargains in Mr M; chilling and watching The Deep on ITV hub

Hi all:j
Just a quick pop in - I wrote a long, superbly witty post (!) the day before yesterday but the wifi mysteriously went down as I posted it ...and I hadn't the heart to compile it all again..anyhow, I got another NSD on Monday, Tuesday we spent packing up the car & travelling back, getting home at approx. 4am this morning.
Oddly couldn't really sleep, so have spent most of the day on autopilot. Did a few things, but not enough energy to do too much. Grass is so long after 3 weeks away. Anyhow, another NSD today, to add to my total (not that I know what it is).
The animal gang were very happy to see us, I was surprised to see that one water dish had been replaced by a plant pot - and another by an ice bucket!! I daren't ask tbh :rotfl:
Enjoyed the time away, but very glad to be back even though it looks like we live in some sort of jungle as the garden has gone berserk. Better get some sleep now..
Ow dolly that sounds painful - hope it is better today..

Checking in spent just over £6 last night, cheap night out, not a bad singer and nice company. Tired today as done lots of gardening before heading out. Must be getting old so proud of my dark green lawn with stripes onWeeding driveway and paths done.:D
Happy I am staying in tonight, afternoon off. I am thinking of walking around NT garden as I have hardly used my membership at all last few months. Wheras the zoo one been there at least couple times a week - best value ever £45 a year. Animals starting to recognise me now:eek:
Today aiming for NSD. Chilli taken out of the freezer for tea and netflix evening planned:cool:
