I was shocked at how hot it was last night - I thought it might ease off a bit, but no way. I'm still trying to get myself back together after my relapse of the last few weeks, nearly there now. Very glad I have the time to do that.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi folks
Sorry its been a while since I checked in.. Four spend free days will be achieved at the end of the day and more than likely tomorrow too. Being at work is always a great way to prevent spending. I think I'll do some overtime to get some extra cash in the lead up to Xmas.
Dolly - I'm not so good with uploading pics on this site, for some reason I can't update my signature eitherthe one that's showing is about 3 years old now!
I hope you're all enjoying this glorious sunshine while it lasts

Here eventually.
Friday - funeral was dire, vicar talking about himself and trying to convert people. Not what you wanted to hear.
Cheap night out spends under tenner, 1 awesome singer and a great band.
Saturday Lidl food shop and then grandkids arrived. Quick dash to storytelling in the zoo. Had to buy lollies it was so hot. Then home and chilled garden time, well run around like a mad thing after 2yr old, my garden has steps bit tricky for her. Both slept well considering the heat and collected Sunday late am. I need more energy 2yr olds never stop.
Sunday, went watching lots of live music, had the funniest day ever I will still crying with laughter yesterday about it. Met some lovely people and even watched a Grunge band. Ears still recovering. I decided to drive so saved some pennies.
Yesterday lovely walk along the prom until mist came over. Headed home and friend came over and we cooked roast chicken. So lots left over for lunch, dinner tonight.
My SFDs only stand at 10 including today. Hopefully few more to come this week.
Need petrol but can wait till tomorrow, tad hungover today and just want to get home after work.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -

Sorry you had that experience, Calling - we had a few bad experiences when my mum died 3 years ago: the practitioner running the service wouldn't shut up when she came to see us beforehand, and I eventually realised I didn't need to be *that* polite, so I just said, "I can't listen to this any more", an walked out. It had the desired effect of her realising she'd stayed much too long. Then there was the funeral director who got defensive about the misspellings on the service sheet ... and the florist who told people buying wreaths what we bought, to encourage them to spend more! It was a bit of a dormitory/ retirement town, I think people have got a bit complacent. Though the service itself was fine - I'm really sorry that yours wasn't
That's awful especially when people are upset and very vulnerable. I went to support my friend I can't say I knew her husband that well but after that eulogy was none the wiser. Such a shame.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Still on NSD No 18
Collected my repeat prescription from the Health Centre and put it in to the chemist. Collected some things for the Boy whilst I was there. Didn't really need anything else but went for a walk round Aldi. Big mistake. Himself and chocolate in the same shop are not a good idea.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Today I am grateful for our library, for sainz having their gf bread in stock, for the smell of freshly mown grass, for almost finishing my prep for going back to sch on thurs (ugh), for my needlefelting whilst watching some international rugby, for plenty of water, for a good swim with dd (the shallow end was packed so I swam 3/4 lengths), for dd trying on her new uniform and PE kit and looking so cute in it all.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Went for a run in the woods first thing yesterday morning and tripped over a tree root, have some pretty nasty scrapes and bruises and am very lucky I didn't break a finger - it has swollen up and is really hurting but I can bend it. Anyway I am going for a run this morning so I will see how bad all the bruises really are.
Bought some second hand books yesterday, they are all on my reading list, also got DD some GCSE books, again second hand.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Famous last words: I think I am on top of all this back to school stuff. Still have 3 haircuts to get done today, bread to buy and crisps need to come back into the house - I have not bought a single packet since school broke up. Crisp free household and I have not missed it at all - I buy the less than 100 calorie bags for the kids.
Right, these sheep need shearing.
