Glad the date went so well. He sounds like a very genuine guy. Just take it steadily so he's not overwhelmed by the differences in your two lives. Sounds ,like he'a low key man who appreciates the simple things in life and has his values in the right place. You deserve a run of good fortune and I hope it works out for you. It must feel hard not to be excited when you make comparisons with yiur ex.3

Thank you for sharing, I think I am in that place now. I'm married to a drunk who just uses me for money (well that's what it feels like)
We cant afford to live separately and our house needs a lot of work so am depressed about the state of the place while he spends hundreds of pounds down the pub and at golf x

Sounds like a lovely evening, just what you deserve.
Sometimes it’s the smallest thing that makes you go, I put up with years of crap, infidelities, etc and I finally snapped when he asked me about a pair of shoes …..

Emma, your story is NEVER boring, as you seem to have thought on a few occasions. It’s interesting and inspirational. You’re doing really well, and it’s a mark of the person you are and how far you’ve come that you can offer kindness, wisdom and support to others on here.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 56

Keep that ohoto Emma of a reminder of things past and how the world can move on.
He sounds a nice guy with a good value system. Just try and take things steadily. You've come too far and made too much progress to throw all that away Sometimes when you start finding yourself in a better place it's temporarily easy to forget how hard the struggle was to get there but you sound as if you're well aware of that so good luck and may this continue well for you6
