  • I like it, I’d borrow it from the library (MSE always)!

I don’t know if you need or want, but Marian Keyes did some writer advice sessions earlier this year and has put them on YouTube/Instagram - a quick Google should find them.

We had unexpected vets trip this week with one of the cats who had the runs. Seems ok now, but after a few days thought best get him checked over. Hope your dog perks up.

My dog wouldn't take tablets either but the vet gave me liver paste, smear it over the tablet and he gobbled it up.  Paté works just as well. Worth a try 👍

  • Sorry to hear your sister isn't supportive. I've got plenty of junk in the trunk too but hey ho, l would rather that than enormous knockers that give me a bad back to be honest.

    Emma,
My teenager can be incredibly rude to me at times as well. Not long ago she had a right go at me because I dared to ask her how she was feeling when she was off colour.  I think it’s fairly common based on what I’ve seen and heard with other teenagers.  I think they only get like that with someone they feel safe with.... that’s my theory anyway! I know she loves me really and I’m sure your daughter loves you too.
Keep going with the running. It’s definitely an uplifting hobby.  You’re doing very well with your cost neutral activities

I don't know if any of this might apply to your dog but with my cat, I make a big deal of giving her cold water while talking to her - I pour some fridge water into a glass then pour some into her bowl and she always has some. I worry about feeding a general dry food and her not having enough to drink. A previous cat passed blood and it was because she did not have enough water available. I keep a bowl on my desk so it isn't with her food too.
