Delighted for you and well done for doing the right thing to repay yiur Dad.
It just shows that in times of great despair the sun can still unexpectedly shine. What a nice early Christmas present and a good kick-start to your new life.
Just don,t let your ex get to hear about it via your daughter (or though unconsidered family chatting) or he'll be after some of it to aid his reckless spending habits. At least you're in control of your money now.1 -
Fantastic. About time you got some good luck. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.1

Good grief he sounds vile  Glad you are away from himPlease put out food and water for the birds and hedgehogs1

Goodness he sounds like a vile excuse for a human being. You are well shot of him. Just ask why he is still texting you with this abusive stuff and why haven't you blocked him? I know he is your daughters dad but I would seriously not want her anywhere near him.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. He is a serial liar, so please don't let anything he says get through to you, as he's probably just making it all up to try and upset you.
He wouldn't be bothered to tell you any of this unless he thought that it would 'get' to you.
Don't give him the satisfaction and just block him, which will probably upset him more than anything else you can do. Not blocking him is letting him continue to inflict emotional abuse on you. You need to realise you deserve better than than that. XI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy1 -
Honestly, Emma, he is doing this to upset you and make you feel inadequate. He's a nasty piece of work by the sounds of it. Block him especially if he has no reason to and doesn't seem interested in contacting your daughter.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.1
