You are doing brilliantly - I think any debt journey is a bit of a bumpy ride mentally!

I remember discussing with someone the amount of debt I had (at the time about £8k I think) she laughed and said it was nothing and what was I worried about! I wonder if she's had a LBM moment yet and/or how big her debts got!

    Love the teaspoon analogy!
    Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
    Current debt - £5,555.00
Total paid off - £10,045.89 (64% paid off)
  • You are doing so well, we are all on our own journey

At least you don't have £9,000 to pay off like me :rotfl:

What job do you do? (Sorry if you've already said)

    Hi ChelseaBlue

I know i shouldn't moan, i think i just went through a bit of 'hard done by' day!

You sound so very like me, honestly, it's like reading about myself! The sister, the baby with the less than ideal man, no uni, no savings, hard blimmin' work.

To be fair to the long ago boyfriend, it was me who wanted out. Apart from being a bit annoying he didn't really do anything wrong. I was young and foolish and wouldn't listen to anyone else. Very tough lesson learned.

You're going to have days when it feels like you're getting nowhere but, as beanielou says, just keep plodding xx

Thanks babe, and yes it is hard, its almost like i love a challenge, foolish woman i am :rotfl: xx

haha i think her LBM is well and trully dimmed, but i have a friend who is exactly the same. Her parents brought her a house, she has a monthly allowance from them, and decided to give up her job so she could do the school runs (single mum) .... she also had £38k in credit card debt

  • Good Morning All

So good news, £25 made on ebay last night, got the two parcels to send off this morning. Money will go towards the budget fitting for the paypal debt, so that gap is nearly closed!

Budget until pay day is extremely tight!!! making me feel a little bit anxious if im honest but i know 100% i will not succumb and use a CC, even if i have to eat toast for the rest of the week!

I have the first interview for this new job tomorrow so going to spend some time researching the business and the director who is interviewing me today. I am praying that it is a good opportunity!
