    Okey dokes.

I am currently installing Windows 10.

In my excitement and rush to see if i had actually fitted a new SSD drive correctly, i had forgotten an important stage :o Windows itself :o

I will keep you all posted/updated.

It sounds as though this is under control now and you will soon have Windows 10 installed - if not already at the time of this post.

When i try and restart, i get a black screen, but a short quick press of the power button reloads Windows 10.

Did you make the correct choices on install? https://fdossena.com/?p=w10debotnet/index_1903.frag
You can go as far as you would like with the guide. No need to follow the whole thing.

Is the SSD the first in the boot order? it could be that the PC is looking for Windows 10 elsewhere first.
Boot into the BIOS setup by pressing the F2 key on start-up, to check that the SSD is first in the list.

Don't neglect to look into the Device Manager(type Device Manager into the Search area of Windows 10) to check if Windows 10 has automatically installed all of the necessary Drivers.
