But if you have purchased a licence, then you can install Windows 10 Pro directly to the SSD and simply enter the product key.

Do not think win 7 natively recognises Trim, but easy to enable. Not sure of the 4k sector alignment either?0

I have the new SSD fitted but it wont boot up.
I get this message: reboot and select proper boot device0 -

what did you use to install to the SSD? (Sorry, haven't folliwed...I haven't got a USB plugged in.
Edit. Need to check that ssd is the first boot device
