I got this one today and thought it was worth posting as I did actually think that my account had been hacked until I logged into paypal and saw that the transaction wasn't there. Then I looked back at the email and read it carefully and saw that it wasn't genuine.
Sorry the formatting hasn't come up properly but it looked just like a normal paypal receipt except for the comment about it not showing up in my transactions, and there is a grey button at the bottom saying 'cancel transaction'.
Apparently thats just how the Nigerian scammers operate - email a Paypal payment which are actually very easy to 'doctor', so it seems like the item has been paid forWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

You really don't need to download anything, it is all common sense.
If you are asked to follow links to log in, then it is a spoof. Same applies to bank and other financial emails.
If you get any alerts always log safely into the institution and check there for the alert.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I got a phishing email which was a receipt for a £9.99 paypal payment to Skype. Luckily I didn't click the link, Paypal confirmed it was a scam too.0
