Morning all
Loud storm last night but it’s already another warm one. A quick wash has just finished and I’ve done the essential ironing with the kitchen windows wide open as the sun doesn’t get round there until later. Clean washing folded so I’ll sort the airing cupboard out before I go to work. Last day of term for me - wooty woot!
Bexster - I’m jealous - I can only dream of getting to level 3 these days!
More ((hugs)) for Round. Be super kind to yourself today because you’re worth it xx
Have a lovely day all.0 -
Morning
Thank you for the hugs, Fayolle xx That's a great way to start my dayI think Badcat was right when she suggested a dodgy group hug :grouphug: was needed. Sending hugs in to the ether - feel free to grab one as it passes by xx
I was woken up by the bedroom door slamming shut at 3am - windows wide open and a storm brewing! Timely as I was able to close the windows before the rain came - and then I sat and watched the lightening show, which was pretty spectacular
Feeling quite ropey this morning - exacerbated by lack of sleep and the fact I've agreed to make an appointment to see a GP, which, ironically, is a trigger for me
But I'm up. I've made my bed and had a cuppa. WM is swishing. I've put two ancient eggs in the binand grabbed the jacket for a 9/10 year old boy from the pile of 'stuff' cascading through the cupboard under the stairs door and put it in front of the WM. It will be washed and taken to cs. Every little helps.
Oh  when I go to the Surgery this afternoon - I have to pick up my repeat prescription, so I'll make an appointment while I'm there, rather than using up all my credit queueing on the phone! - I'll drop off those bags of books at cs :T
Step 1: shower, wash hair, get dressed.
Wishing you all a good day.

:shocked: a squirrel just ran along the electricity wire across the road!
And..... he's just run back.
Sorry - I had to share with someone. Never seen a squirrel this close to home before - only at the other end of the village.
Right …. shower!

Morning all
Bedroom is tidy, no floor or chairdrobe, bedding change day is Saturday here so today for me is paid stuff, dailies, a couple of errands to run, salad for tea so don’t even need to defrost anything.
Just need to cope with the heat really, I am shattered as I woke with the storm and didn’t sleep much afterwards, it’s too damn hot already today...
Have a good day all, try not to overdo things in this heat!
Back later x0 -

Maybe washing my hair wasn't a good idea! With 100% humidity it's not going to dry
And I'm not making that up - I checked the weather forecast and decided to look for the humidity out of interest - at 8am, at the airport down the road, humidity was 100%. Well, that explains why I had to peel my clothes on :rotfl:
Step 2: hang out washing - sort of a scientific experiment now :rotfl:
Step 3: breakfast.
Keep hydrated ladies

Washing out - although it feels humid I think the humidity is falling because it's drying. Includes 1 summer job ('curtain' from work).
Rabbit chased, caught and medicated (can't get him when he's in his hutch due to the design of same). Note to self - fill syringes FIRST next time :rotfl:
Am showered but my wet hair is tied up as I could not face the dryer in this heat.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

*Mega healing vibes* for bunny, Valli.
Narco, I'm relieved that it's been recognised that MiL isn't well enough to return home, sad though that must be for everyone huge congratulations on the contract renewal.
(((Hugs))) Fayolle. I hope the repeat scans are reassuring.
Massive thunder and lightening storm last night. At the start and end of it Layla was on her back in her crate, totally relaxed, and mostly fast asleep. She was woken up by a particularly loud crack of thunder and just rolled back over on to her back. Tick; another milestone passed. Kittens weren't quite so laid back, unfortunately but not surprisingly.
The Maplins 9v battery recharger doesn't seem to work which is irritating because we have several smoke alarms and that would have saved us quite a bit of money.
Going out for coffee with a friend at 11.00 so after that I'll clear the chairrobe. It's been holding a big pile of clothes I set aside to try on and decide about for a couple of days, so that'll be a job well done. After that, I'll run through the rest of the listy, although I'm not sure I can change the beg - the WM is still out of action because the repair man has cut through a tendon in his hand - yikes. I might take all the washing down to the laundrette and then just bring it home to dry. In the meantime I need to handwash a couple of bras.Better is good enough.0
